I have been to this place at least eight times over the years and it was once a real gem of a restaurant. However, the last few visits have been very disappointing with patchy food - some great, some really quite poor and woefully slow service.
Also, it has become very expensive.
If you are one of Grappino's expense-account darlings, this is the place to go otherwise, you may or may not have a good visit. The service and food were so bad on the last visit that I will never return.

This is a rare hidden gem in Brisbane. Best Italian food I have had in Brisbane, it is so full of flavour and you definitely leave satisfied. Good wine list with many Italian varietals on offer. Service is excellent. Will definitely be returning, highly recommended.

Have been twice now to Grappino over the last 2 years, absolutely in love with the decor, the diner style tables and chairs and the European buzzy feel of the place.
Service has always been great, from the friendly welcome at the door to the enthusiastic table service. Seems you are greeted like a regular even if they don't know you. Food is very good although I'm a shocker, I find a dish I like (usually something classic, basic and simple) and I order the same thing every time, like spaghetti bolognaise or amatriciana.
We'll go again, although a little expensive (just marginally) to be a very regular haunt of ours.
