The good: The food is overall solid. The last time we went there the outstanding dish was definitely their mushroom soup.

The bad: There seems to be a distinct service difference between the occasional visitor and repeat customers, in so much that you sometimes feel like you are intruding onto a private dinner function if you only come here infrequently.

Moreover, we used the dimmi site to book a table for new year's eve when my parents were visiting us from overseas. The booking was confirmed, but when we showed up, the restaurant was closed. Feedback from dimmi is that it is up to the individual restaurant to provide accurate business hours. Fast forward 3 weeks, and while having dinner there again, we mentioned this to the owner, who denied any knowledge and tried to push all the onus onto dimmi before walking away without so much as apologising to us.

They have the best pasta in Brisbane. I simply love going there, although the decor is a little bit New York Gangster's movie I still love it. The service is great. The price, well what is good has it's price, I think it's fair fro what you get. Great Food!

My favourite Italian in Brisbane. Love the Gnocchi with the Gusto sauce. The Veal is always done nicely, but is now served with a side of fettucine instead of vegetables which, as is the norm now, costs extra. Great casual vibe but with excellent service. It does price itself out of being a regular dinner out, at least for me.

I have been to this place at least eight times over the years and it was once a real gem of a restaurant. However, the last few visits have been very disappointing with patchy food - some great, some really quite poor and woefully slow service.
Also, it has become very expensive.

If you are one of Grappino's expense-account darlings, this is the place to go otherwise, you may or may not have a good visit. The service and food were so bad on the last visit that I will never return.

This is a rare hidden gem in Brisbane. Best Italian food I have had in Brisbane, it is so full of flavour and you definitely leave satisfied. Good wine list with many Italian varietals on offer. Service is excellent. Will definitely be returning, highly recommended.

Have been twice now to Grappino over the last 2 years, absolutely in love with the decor, the diner style tables and chairs and the European buzzy feel of the place.

Service has always been great, from the friendly welcome at the door to the enthusiastic table service. Seems you are greeted like a regular even if they don't know you. Food is very good although I'm a shocker, I find a dish I like (usually something classic, basic and simple) and I order the same thing every time, like spaghetti bolognaise or amatriciana.

We'll go again, although a little expensive (just marginally) to be a very regular haunt of ours.
