I have eaten at A Lot of Italian restaurants in my time but Fratellis tops the list! I have always judged a chef/cook by their Margherita pizza, carbonara and tiramisu. Three simple and traditional dishes which are easy to make but also easy to ruin.

Fratellis is the first establishment that I have had the pleasure of dining at where I can honestly say that I could not have made a better carbonara myself at home. The guitarist playing live music strummed out some contemporary and classics which only added to the atmosphere.

The food was spectacular, service attentive but not intrusive and price was very reasonable given the generous portions and the phenomenal dining experience. Have already recommended Fratellis to countless friends and booked in again this Friday evening! I can't wait!

Terrible service even though plenty of staff. Food ordinary. Can not recommend.

Take a coat with you and keep it on, cold with the open sides, and the few heaters did little to improve, even after we asked for them to be turned up. Did not have the first two wines we asked for from the menu. Chips came with a layer of oil in the bottom. Squid was really nice, done in a tempura batter and tender.

Meals were heavy, couldn't finish half the veal, very rich (felt it all night, and when awoke). Staff were pleasant and helpful. Lots of noise when the other tables filled with fighting children. Too cold to have dessert, so left early.

Four of us went here for dinner the other night. The food was good and well priced. The wine list is small but well balanced. The sea salt and rosemary pizzete was delicious and a good start to the meal. The Caprese salad was also tasty with a nice blend of flavours. Personally I thought the veal was a bit thick but otherwise it was enjoyable. Will go there again.
