I've been meaning to go to Eves for a while now, and the opportunity arose recently. Six of us caught up for a lazy weekend brunch at Eves just before Christmas, and we were not disappointed. Our meals were fresh and tasty, our special requests happily accommodated and the staff friendly. It was quite noisy and sometimes difficult to hear each other but on the morning we went the restaurant was at capacity. The prices are on the more expensive side. Overall a pleasant and positive dining experience. I'll be back.

It is so nice to sit by the river, watch the sky get dark and enjoy some delicious food and wine! I am not a regular, but have been a couple of times now. The staff are always great, the location is fab! On this occasion I had the Eye fillet and a beautiful shiraz to go with it, omg how delish!
Last time my friend and I dined it was Christmas last year and the venue was abuzz with festive activity, this time it was a little more mellow, more a couple thing, but, unfortunately, lacked a little atmosphere, it may have had something to do with the slightly daggy music playing, but all in all, an awesome night out! Will definitely be back!

My partner and I dined here for lunch this week after purchasing a "living social" deal for $89 entitling us to appetiser turkish bread with dips followed by two entrees, two mains and two desserts from the regular menu, and until the main course was served we were pleasantly surprised.
The venue is as the name suggests, right on the northern side of the Brisbane River with a lovely aspect to the south east. The entrees were very good (pea and scallop risotto + soft shell crab) without being exceptional! However, the anti-climax was yet to occur, the main course of lamb rack was very palatable, however, my partner had the eye fillet medium to well done which presented and tasted like the tongue of an old leather boot, simply not good enough for such a restaurant that boasts "one of brisbane's best destinations".
The staff were advised, but no further action taken despite an aditional $25 being spent. Surely an explanation/apology or at least discount on wines or coffees would have been appropriate. The cinnamon creme brulee for dessert was Amazing, however, advice from an informed customer, don't have the baked banana tart, it was very dry and bland, with the ice cream being the only source of flavour and means of swallowing each mouthful.

We were looking to just chill out coz we were buggered from very long months and very long hours. Both of us must have looked like the dogs dinner. Anyway, the young lady who we had the pleasure of having as our waitress was superb, she even got my bent humour. The food and wine list was superb also and really even at $140 for lunch for two, we considered it good value as we left there revived and certainly not hungry. Lovely aspects too!

Would have rated the ambience higher, given the location, but we ended up being seated next to a vacant table which was quickly filled with sweaty, lycra-clad, middle aged rollerbladers (not a pleasant sight nor sound) - sort of spoilt a special breakfast out with friends. Everything else was average.

Nice space that was busy with a jumping bar on a Saturday night. Moody lighting with a lovely outlook over the river, very nice food and attentive staff.

The pork bellies in this place are the best anywhere in the country. Recently having made a tour based purely on pork belly consumption I feel entirely comfortable in this assertion. Very clever flavour constructions at play here. The staff are absolute professionals and while it's no Sydney Harbour view, it's not at all bad for Brisbane.
