Sun. 29/4 Just left Decks. Very poor dining experience. I ordered King Prawn sandwich. Got 5 school prawns on turkish with tomato, lettuce and aioli for $22. Not good. Wife ordered rare steak, got well done. Had to ask for a steak knife. Had to ask for cracked pepper. Garlic bread. $10. We should have left when we saw this. Even the menu was poor standard, just 2 sheets of paper printed of and stapled together, not even in some kind of nice folder. We will not be back.

Very Disappointed. Waited well over an hour for our meals and when they came out they were average. For the price of the mains we expected a little more. As for the service, even though it was a busy night there were more than enough staff on to at least check if we wanted another drink. We had 3 different waitstaff walk past our table all night numerous times checking to clear tables and pour more water (our glasses must have been missed) and the only time we got another drink was when we actually stopped someone and asked.

Awful experience. We arrived and were waiting to be shown to our table and three waitstaff walked by us and didn't acknowledge we were standing there. When we were finally acknowledged our reservation was not in the book. After sitting down shortly after we ordered drinks and then shortly after that ordered our dinner.

We both ordered the seafood plate each @ $44. Our dinner arrived first and we had to ask the waiter about our drinks to which he replied 'well they get done at the bar'. Our dinner conisisted of a lot of chips and 3 deep fried prawns, calamari and fish with one sml portion of salmon and a very very small scallop. I was shocked that this seafood basket was $44.

Dinner and drinks (one each) came to a total of $104. Have to wonder if this meal was meant for the fish and chip shop next door. Very overpriced and not worth the visit at all.

I dined here last night with some work colleagues, every one really enjoyed their meals, we had fantastic service, very big portion size and the price was very reasonable for the beautiful location. I will definitely be back and I am considering my work christmas party be held there.

The service was very slow and a nearby table (who's guests came after us) were served long before we were. The barramundi was ok but a very small portion. $32 for approximately 100 grams with broccoli.

We had our wedding here last november. We had been here multiple times since and have been since our wedding. The service is usually fantastic and the waitresses/waiters are attentive but not annoying. The chef made the meal for my wife around her allergies, without any hassle.

The food has been good every time and the price is reasonable too. Sitting on the river adds to a great dining experience. If you get there on sundown it really adds to the atmosphere as well. We have taken roughly 100 people there over the last 2 years and not one has complained. I recommend Decks to anyone.

The food is simple and not exotic - yet tasty. Well priced and good if you have a discount voucher. Service was good and ambience was ok. Good location but needs a refurb. I went there on the way to the movies at South Bank.

Started off a bit strange and should have trusted our intuition and left to try a restaurant we knew was good. However, we hadn't been before and thought seafood would be a nice change. The bar waiter didn't get the drinks correct from the start, the hostess was very strange but the setting was lovely so we persevered. We ordered the bread to start which was so hot we couldn't break it up.

The seafood platter was not worth the money. Two layers of deep fried seafood is not my idea of good food. The beef was tough, the prawns and crab were tasteless. Good points, the girl who took our order was very friendly. After we finished we waited to order another drink to no avail, so we left, disgusted at having to pay $95.00 for a platter that I wish we had got from the fish and chip shop down the road.

Seafood was not cleaned properly as had shell in the oysters still. Prawns were served from frozen. Should have just gone somewhere else.
