Overview of Club India
Club India, an authentic Indian Restaurant in the heart of Brisbane has a distinctive cuisine, very unusual and different from other Indian restaurants in this part of Australia. Food at ‘Club India’ is a journey through different parts of India with gastronomic delights from different nooks and corners of the vast and vibrant country - from the famous ‘Nadan Erachi Olathiyathu’ or Beef fry from the southern most state of Kerala to the subtle flavours of sea food in the ‘Chenalla Chi Kadi’ or Fish curry from the western paradise state of Goa to the pickled meat flavours of ‘Achari Ghosht’ a lamb dish from the northern frontiers of India.
Club India, open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday offers a mixture of eclectic South Asian decor, hypnotizing Indian classical inspired lounge music and a relaxed and friendly customer service experience to compliment the magical culinary journey. Every dish prepared at Club India is made the traditional way using core authentic Indian spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, cumin, coriander, turmeric etc. We do not employ any short cuts in our cooking methods and do not substitute our spices with available artificial flavours, spices.

Not a great restaurant, not a great night club, not a great bar not really great at anything just mediocre. But food is below average.
Heinekin: Out of stock James Boag: Out of stock. Top price $21 prawn meal: I think I located 4 prawns amongst the onions and capsicum. Ordered plain boiled rice and mango pickle but both overlooked. Free naan so possibly a beggar's paradise but I won't be back.
A well experienced Indian food lover, having been spoilt by the numerous excellent Indian restaurants in the UK, I have been trying to find a good yummy curry house in Brisbane for ages. There's only a few that I can recommend. Been here 4 times. I am vegetarian and I am spoilt for choice. My friends have meat curries and have said they are really good. I've had four lovely evenings at Club India.
I saw this place and seeing the ambience and staff's smiling faces settled down to eat. The curry's were mediocre, just ok, nothing great about them, far from the delicious Indian curries. The chicken dish tasted as if it was old, kept for days and lacked juicyness. I thought, may be it was just that dish and went there a couple of more times but every dish disappoints man, they should change their chef! Not worth wasting your moolah. There are other good Indian restaurants.
Moved here from Sydney where there are many good Indian Curry places to chow down in. But alas I found the Brisbane Indian Curry scene devoid of real good authentic Curry Houses. Living in the city I was searching for that Indian Curry House without having to venture to the West End and low and behold I discover "Club India" in Elizabeth Street, the city. I booked up and took a mate and together we have eaten many hundreds of Indian curries over the years.
Yes - this one didn't disappoint. Top menu with all the standard Indain dishes covered, some good speciality dishes, excellent service, good size portions and a great selection of drinks (Beers, Wines, Soft Drinks). Great value for what you get as well. Without doubt one of the best Indian Curry Houses we have eaten in and the best in Brisbane by far. Go try it! - before it gets discovered and then you won't get a table when you want to impress friends and relatives. Very highly recommended.
