Best steaks in town! have not tasted a more perfectly cook steak. It has certainly ruined me for anything but a chars steak! the sides were great and the service impeccable. Will be back, again and again and again!

I went along to this restaurant on a Tuesday night for a work dinner, the food was sensational, but the service was appalling, the staff stuffed up every meal and drink, would I return? I don't know, the service was a real put off!

I totally agree with the previous reviewer I had a similar experience on Wed 7th Oct. The service was good but the food was terrible. I ate here with 7 work colleagues and everyone though the same. I ordered a premium rump fillet $61 and I have eaten better for $15 in my local RSL. It was smothered in seasoning and salt despite the fact I asked for it with no seasoning, (a good piece of meat should need no seasoning), the portion too was supposed to be 500g and was full of fat, my colleagues also had similar problems with poor pieces of meat and not getting the meat cooked the way they wanted. One response for my colleague who requested a medium well and got a what was clearly a rare, was oh that's how we cook our medium rare. Seriously is it not a common standard?
To top it off we did all decide to pay separately. When we went to pick up our credit cards after about 20 mins waiting (we were the only people in the restaurant at this stage) the manager on duty said to our very helpful waiter, why did u let them do that you would spend less time in labour. Clearly not the response from a professional manager I would expect seriously have you never had people on expense accounts ask to pay separately?

The most over rated restaurant I have had the misfortune to attend. The meat was a joke, fillet was a piece of flattened steak that was ordered medium by 2 friends, both arrived rare flattened out to resemble a cm thick piece of cheap meat, this was supposed to be fillet. My T bone was laughable the way it was advertised in the menu and what I got was like comparing the sun and Antartica. As well it was probably half the size shown on the menu with the fillet portion equal to a mouth full.
The waitress acted like we should be honoured for her to serve us, I have never left a restaurant without tipping 10-20%, I left there giving a zero tip. The place was packed, I cant believe why, never to return I look forward to the day it closes down and is replaced by something befitting the wonderful location. Seriously I will not take notice of awards again.

What a disappointment! The food was great but the experience was awful. Award winning seems to have made management complacent.
Not a great start when we were kept waiting at the bar for 45 minutes for our (pre-booked) table. And then there was no apology for the delay. In fact it seemed to be restaurant practice to keep its customers waiting as the bar area was full of other diners in the same boat. One way of increasing spend per head I guess!
We then had a further 45 minutes delay between our starter and main course (medium-rare steaks). Another crafty way of increasing the wine spend perhaps?
The waiter was friendly but rather inexperienced and overall, the experience just lacked the finesse you would normally get in a top restaurant (e.g. the host didn't offer to take our coats before ushering us into the bar area).
The steaks were good but everything else was lacking. Go if you like steak and don't mind poor, slow service (and book your table 45 minutes before you really want it!) Sadly, a case of an award winning restaurant resting on its laurels.

Don't go there, service was great, food was terrible. the T bone (well done) we ordered was very pale in colour, very very tough and chewy, hard to swallow and little bit gamey in taste. The rib fillet on the bone had to be sent back because med rare, was cooked as rare. I complained to the senior staff, but he figured that I wasn't coming back so charged me for it anyway. At $50 a steak, you would think the food would be half enjoyable. Very disappointed.

We took a group of 28 there last week. Let's start with the fact they took the reservation. We offered to do some pre ordering paying in advance but they said it would be too confusing.
We advised when we arrived that 6 of our party would be arriving late, but we would go ahead with ordering for the others. We spread out around the tables with the vacant seats scattered. 10 minutes in they came and asked us to move up the table and moved the vacant seats to the last table. We made it clear that our other 6 were definitely coming.
When 3 of the party arrived about 20 minutes later and sat at the table they were told, not asked, to vacate the table as it had been given away to another party. They were so rude that two of the party actually left the restaurant as they had never been treated so rudely ever.
We then began to order. On my first visit just before christmas I tried to order the Sirlion and was told by the waiter that it was the worst dish on the menu and best not to order it. As it was still on the menu several of the party tried to order and once again were told it was a terrible dish and to choose something else.Once dishes began to arrive they were under cooked, overcooked, wrong dish and several were unedible.
When the others of the party arrived we had to squish them into our tables, a tight squeeze but as they had given the other table away and chased off two of my international guests. We were then told off by the management for doing this, although we had on several occasions told them they would be delayed but we were happy to pay a minimum head charge for them if necessary.
The bill came and although there were extra charges on the bill, it was duly paid and a complaint made. The managers response was that it was beyond their capability to handle groups of that size. My first point. 3 times we reconfirmed the group and size before the event, including trying to simplify by pre ordering and were told that wasn't necessary as they could handle it. They can't .
They couldn't handle a party of 5 for lunch in November, and couldn't handle a group of 28 now. Take the Sirloin off the menu rather than having your wait staff tell people it's terrible. Over priced, over rated, overly rude.

I was unfortunate enough to end up here for my wedding anniversary. The service was terrible and the food disgusting. It took 2 hours for them to bring out raw sausages and cold veal cutlet. Over priced, over rated. Do not bother to eat here!

Flew to Brisbane for the night for a friends birthday dinner. Heard a mix of reviews for this venue and glad I had the chance to judge for myself. Veteran Waitstaff of 8-9 yrs, Nancy looked after our table and anticipated our needs all night. Her sense of humor and caring way of looking after us made for a very special night. This was a Tuesday night and the dining room was packed. Food was excellent. Service flawless. Only negative was the noise.
