You're looking at $25-30 mains region. It's good food, my seafood harissa was nicely done but way too much rice. It's good if you're starving. A nice little place with a deck at the back also. Quiet area. A bit dimly lit for my liking, I like to see what I'm eating. A nice range on the menu too. My friend said the lamb shanks were tough, he asked for a doggy bag so he could stew them for longer at home.
This was one place that I had always wanted to try and I was not disappointed. Our party of three arrived without reservation on a Saturday Night and were accommodated by a lovely maitre d' who obviously knew how to control a well organised waiting staff.
The food was presented well and the portion size was excellent. Having come from a background of growing up in a kitchen, I was more than impressed with the way the kitchen team operated in a very demanding open style kitchen. Atmosphere was excellent, almost like magically being transported to a eatery in Turkey itself. Value for money was excellent with our party paying $92 (less tip, which is well worth giving). I would recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.
Have eaten here several times now, always surprised by how HUGE the meals are. Ambience is terrific, why can't more establishments in Brisbane create this sort of cosy environment!
I had the lamb shanks and polenta and was very impressed. Melt in your mouth, fall off the bone, all the cliche's you can think of for this lamb. Oh and it had jus just to make sure the creamy polenta had something to soak in. Marvellous.
My personal favourite Turkish Restaurant. The one thing I miss about living in West End is the Caravanserai. Lovely intimate dining. Lovely deck out the back with river views or the big sultans table. Great for a romantic dinner or even functions. We used to take all our visitors there and they all agreed, it was good food. More then just the standard Turkish food. Would recommend.
Nice restaurant tucked away at the quite end of West End. I found it nice and chilled and a lovely place to take your partner for a romantic dinner or go for a work function.
Food was nice and the price very reasonable. Good service.
