We went there for a quiet dinner to celebrate an occasion, but it was spoiled by the awful experience at Santos. Though the food was ok, but not more than a side cafe who would serve at 1/4 of the price.
The service does not even match McDonalds. The staff were rude and arrogant. First it took them 10 minutes to greet us on the table and bring menus, and then the lady was back on us 3 times within 5-6 minutes to order entrees and mains.
Drinks came in after the entrees had arrived and then the mains were kept on the table while we were still eating the entrees. We were third time lucky to get the water which was ice cold in a winter evening of 9 degrees and she arrogantly said, this is the only water they had. We returned the water but were still charged 6.95 for the bottle and were forced to pay.
The mains were just ordinary and no where near the price tag. At the end without clearing our dishes, the waitress was upon us to get us buy the desserts, which obviously we did not have after having such an experience. The senior staff who was at the cashiers till did not want to know much about it, and blushed us off with arrogance, saying that they are the best restaurant in the area and he is very pleased with the service they provide. What a pathetic answer. We are not going back and will ensure to pass this on to all our friends

The pizza was good, not the best I've ever tasted and certainly not good enough to make up for the rudeness of the staff. Won't be back.

One of the worst experiences of my life. The cooks were all under 18 years old.
Food was tasteless and cold. It was left sitting for ages before it was dumped on our table. Service. was there any? no. Bill was wrong by about $50. Did not get some things we ordered.

We took our kids 7,5,3 there this evening and I am so annoyed. Was over priced and if the tiger prawns in our pasta were tiger prawns they need a new supplier! Caesar salad had hardly any dressing and the pizza was so dry! We had to put sauce from the pastas on it to make it edible!

The latest owners have brought Pizza Napoli downmarket, with inferior and less pizza ingredients. Now they have added Country Fried Chicken to the menu. We won't be going there again. Shame, it's been a local Brisbane NW institution since the '80s.

I have eaten at A Lot of Italian restaurants in my time but Fratellis tops the list! I have always judged a chef/cook by their Margherita pizza, carbonara and tiramisu. Three simple and traditional dishes which are easy to make but also easy to ruin.
Fratellis is the first establishment that I have had the pleasure of dining at where I can honestly say that I could not have made a better carbonara myself at home. The guitarist playing live music strummed out some contemporary and classics which only added to the atmosphere.
The food was spectacular, service attentive but not intrusive and price was very reasonable given the generous portions and the phenomenal dining experience. Have already recommended Fratellis to countless friends and booked in again this Friday evening! I can't wait!

I have been a big supporter of this restaurant for a number of years. We ordered something off the specials menu board. After we ordered, the staff changed the prices on the specials board, increasing the prices. When I went to pay, they charged me the higher amount. I questioned it and said we ordered when the lower price was on the board, and they bascially said too bad, as they were charging a public holiday surcharge.
I am fine with paying a public holiday surcharge if I am told about it. I am not happy to be charged a higher price for a meal because the staff change the price on the specials board after I have already ordered. The female team member with short red hair was not good at communicating the reason why we had to pay this higher price. I also had to pay $5.80 for a small bottle of coke. Good food but I won't be going back because of the bad attitude.

Monday Night Wings Review. Having recently moved up to Brisbane, we were glad to have found The Fox and Smokehouse BBQ. We have probably eaten there eight times now and consider the Wings on Monday night to be the meal available, even ignoring their almost give-away price. The pork ribs are fantastic, the pulled-pork very good and the beef ribs quite good, but the Wings, and especially the dry seasoning ones are truly great.

We went to this restaurant with a voucher. We also read the reviews on this site, so were pleasantly surprised by the fact that our meals came out in a prompt manner, and totally agree with the recommendation of one person here who said to order the New Orleans pizza. It was great. We also had a pasta, which paled in comparison. Go the pizza every time.

Awful food- such a shame as the location is lovely. The menu sounds great but the execution is poor. The cuts of meat were fatty, the flavours didn't come together and the meal was heavy and stodgy. Disappointed.

I had high expectations after reading very good reviews about La Via but was left feeling disappointed. My mum and I ordered the wagyu bresaola pizza to share. The pizza was not cut sufficiently and difficult to pull apart. The base was doughy and the toppings were plain and tasteless. On the upside the wine list was very good and well matched to Italian food.

This restaurant is the most disappointing restaurant that I have been to in years. The pizzas are well below average. They have refined the art of putting little to no toppings on the pizza but charging you top dollar. The pizzas were bland and overpriced not recommended at all.

I came in a large group of about fifty people and we had pre-paid for a set menu. I understand a group of this size is difficult to cater for, but the situation was quite poorly handled in my opinion.
The service for the entree was okay, of course it took some tables a while to receive their garlic bread as was expected. However, many commented that the garlic bread was very basic and had little flavour.
The main meal was where the problems really began for me. I had ordered a vegetarian meal, and waited patiently while all the other meals were brought out and I was ignored by the waitresses. Once all the others had received their mains, I asked politely where my meal was. The waitress said she would find out. She didn't though; the other people finished their meals and I still hadn't heard from her, so I asked the manager. I found her very condescending in replying "sorry, we've run out of pasta and the chef is hand making it". Yeah. Right.
So on top of the bad service and snottiness, the manager was trying to lie to me about the pasta being hand made. I finally got the meal after half our group had left the restaurant, and instead of being the pesto pasta I ordered it was some other random pasta dish. Despite the long wait, the meal was very average. A trainee waitress who was the only one who seemed to understand my disappointment offered me a drink on the house. I had to follow this one up again, and it took about an hour to make, even though the place was now virtually empty.
Two drinks were finally brought out by another waitress who said "I'll only charge you for one". I didn't even order two drinks, and they were going to make me pay for the drink they had offered me! I drank one of the drinks and gave the other to my friend and we walked out. No way was I going to pay for the drink. Excuse the long and aggravated review but this was possibly my worst dining experience, ever!

May have been a bad night but not serving us the entree and salad we had ordered was a bad sign. A small bland risotto with broad beans without any obvious broad beans and a bland died out coral trout made us glad we had avoided the entree.
Staff were friendly enough but still tried to include the missing entree on the bill. Thank god for the great value Turkish restaurant Ahmet's we visited for lunch.

My husband and I booked to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised when they greeted us with a complimentary glass each of bubbly. Then we started with our meals.
The entrees were amazing, the carpaccio, just outstanding. The chilli bugs was amazing and the lamb so tasty and also very tender. My husband enjoyed a Peroni beer and I a really nice glass of Chianti clasico. The service was spot on, the waiter always there when needed, but he did not get in the way. Everything was so enjoyable we relented and decided to share dessert and coffee. That also did not disappoint.
Will definitely return with friends. Cannot wait!

My partner and I ate dinner here on a Wednesday night. We started with garlic bread, with a glass of red wine, and a beer.
Then my partner had the Seafood Marinara, he said it was really good, fresh seafood, beautiful flavour, and the chef wasn't too light handed on the garlic, we Love garlic.
I had the Ravioli with pumpkin, it was delicious, it took both of us quite a while to finish our meals, they were pretty big servings, not the usual 2 pieces of pasta as a main.
We thought this place was a big more expensive than we are used to, but we enjoyed everything we ate that night, which is hard to achieve as my partner is a chef himself and is so hard to please.
We will definitely be back again, we also thought it was nice how the owner came and checked on us, adding a personal touch.
