Ordered 10 Naan Bread for takeaway and literally waited 1.5 hrs and was told that they are trying. Will never go there again, service was appalling!

I have long considered the Mughal Palace the best Indian food I have had in Brisbane and have been a regular takeaway customer for years.

I have never had questionable food, Ever, that was the thing, the food was great Always, every mouthful a delight.

But last night it was at a level that was pitiful, Samosas was greasy, not the usual tasty savory pastry, lamb cutlets were anorexic although they gave 4 rather than the usual 3, not tasty at all, reheated would be my guess, the butter chicken was barely identifiable as butter chicken and had the wrong consistency and taste, the naan breads were unusually greasy, the papadums were burnt, the rice tasted funny.

So much fail in one order from a place that has previously been Faultless for years.

Different staff on front counter, so I can only imagine it has changed hands, such a shame as I did not mind spending $50 for a takeaway meal with leftovers for the next day.

We had take away and had the rogan josh and the butter chicken with saffron rice, and I can tell you I have had many indians in my life and found them all fantastic, and all, varying in taste and flavour, (but all good, nevertheless) but this, by far, was the worst my family and myself had ever experienced. The meat for both dishes were over-cooked and tough, and had me thinking, (and still pondering afterwards), whether we were eating left-overs from 2 nights before.

The rice was taken from cold storage and simply micro-waved, (you know when something is nuked because it all sticks together in a clump and is tasteless). I was so annoyed with the amount of money I had paid for it. Not good Indian Brothers, not good! and I will be warning others and blogging far and wide. You are just ruining it for all the other better Indian Restaurants out there.

We had a lovely dinner tonight. Went because it was close and the google reviews were great. We weren't disappointed. Butter chicken and chicken madras great. Service great, loved the ambience and the story behind the photos on the wall. We weren't disappointed and will be back. Thank you.

I have eaten here for a long time now and if your a lover of fine Indian food like me then this is most certainly the place to get it I cannot speak highly enough of taste and freshness of the food I think if you try this place you'll agree with me. Awesome food!

Sorry guys, I didn't like your food especially biryani putting too much oil, lot of spices I had three times my tummy went upset. Two times I found hair in the biryani. Most of the time meat is smelly. Now I stopped going there. I prefer quality of the food.

I'm not usually one leave negative comments but this evening I had take away form Raja restaurant and I must say that it is the worst meal I have ever eaten. Our entre the Raja's mix platter was like eating deep fried 4 day old food. And our meals the Lamb Bhuna Ghost and the chicken Korma were revolting, with no flavour at all, I think they had just reheated yesterday's sauces in the microwave. I should have realised when the place was completely empty. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.

Well oh well what can one say this restaurant is stunningly well done, inside and out. This stunning Indian restaurant is run by one of my clients and he mentioned he had a little experience but my lord. For once a man was humble about his ability for this place is simply on par with 'The Brilliant' a 40+ year running Indian Restaurant boasting over 80 awards.

So the food is like no other Indian anywhere else in QLD and that's a definite, aside from one or two you won't have seen a majority of these names on another menu anywhere outside India itself. That matched with an outstanding front of house staff, I give you my word, eat here and you won't be disappointed. Thanks Kanishk and may you continue to grow as just deserved.

Awful place. Very slow service and there is no one person who comes and serves you. There was nobody who came back to ask for further requirement of naans etc. The place is choc-a-bloc, there are tables everywhere and therefore very noisy. The food is alright, same old Aussie-Indian type of food, not authentic.

To be honest, this was the worst Indian I've eaten. I placed a takeaway order and was told the meal would be ready to collect in around 20 minutes. The actual wait time ended up being 35 minutes, which wouldn't bother me if I had been told it would be that long.

Both the lamb madras and vegetable korma were overly sweetened and lacking flavour. The vegetables in the korma were obviously frozen packet mix, limp and unappetising. The lamb in the madras was chewy and the curry spicy enough to set my stomach burning straight away in spite of ordering a mild dish.

Additionally, we ordered a garlic and cheese naan and a keema (meat and cheese) naan. While the breads tasted vaguely cheesey, there was no garlic in one and the keema naan had only a few very thin, very sparse scrapes of shredded meat (barely there at all).

Needless to say, we tossed most of the food into the trash. I would not recommend this restaurant and consider our meal to have been a complete waste of money.

Love the place! the food is always fresh and very tasty. The menu is interesting (and entertaining). For a little local it's excellent. Downside: the service can be a bit slow because it's busy or there are a lot of take-away orders, if you're not in a hurry it isn't a problem or... go early.

We have got takeaway here for years (and about once every two months) and it is consistently terrific, though always the same thing, Palak Paneer and Chicken Vindaloo (hot), so can't comment on much else. They do these, and cheese and spinach naan, very well. Nice staff too.

This restaurant is absolutely disgraceful. Our indian was tasteless, lumpy and tasted like it was microwaved. Do not eat here its a waste of money and its inedible. Don't know how they can class themselves as a restaurant!

Don't let the small-looking serves fool you, the food is flavoursome and authentic, not dumbed down to western tastes, and very filling. We had the Chicken Madras (mild yet full of flavour) the Kadahi Lamb (quite spicy-hot but not unpleasantly so) and neither was swimming in oil like you get at some restaurants. If you like a good curry that makes your sinuses run but doesn't burn the lining of your stomach, then this is pretty close to perfect.

The accompanying extras such as pappadums, aloo paratha bread and cucumber raita were fresh and complimented the curries perfectly. We also had the Kashmiri Pulao (saffron rice with nuts and sultanas) which was pretty standard but added colour to the meal.

My first inkling that things may not be ok was when we walked in and we were the only people in the restaurant. Not to worry I thought, plenty of good reviews about this place, and, perhaps, 7pm was a bit early on a friday night. We chose 3 dishes, butter chicken, lamb korma and prawn curry. When they came out I almost choked. Little bowls with a few skerricks of meat in them. King prawns turned out to be half size, perhaps, bay prawns might have been a better description.

Anyway, the butter chicken was very nice, what there was of it and the other dishes were okay, but for the cost, $18 per dish, it was ridiculously overpriced. When we complained the service girl indicated there should be 8 pieces of meat per bowl. We didn't get that and if they think diners will accept paying $2 per piece of little meat, they are going to stay empty for a long time. Sorry this place is a rip off. I suggest try somewhere else that gives value for money. We walked away still very hungry and won't be back.

We have been getting takeaway from the Little Indian Palace for 3 years and always looked forward to the treat it provided, particularly the tender Lamb Palak, but the last one we got was totally different with no where near the same taste, colour or texture, hardly any lamb (not tender),not much spinach, just mainly a slurry of mild curry sauce with hardly any bite - what's happened?

Service bad - waitress rude and up herself. Another waitress was good but overpowered by rude waitress. Food good, but cannot move from scoopon deal. No offer of chutneys riata etc. Feeding frenzy and just want to get you out for turnover.

Never again, Scoopon brought out their intent. Money grabbing instead of dining experience. Sad.

I took a friend here last night, I wasn't expecting much since it was so cheap but was pleasantly surprised. The service was average, the indian girl had no idea what she was doing, couldn't understand us and someone else came back 5 minutes later to take our order.

The food was suprisingly great. The venue is quite nice as well, I really liked the chairs. Overall very good food and great value, I will definitely be going back.

2nd time back to this restaurant, after an average experience the first time, thought we would try once more. It was not overly busy but only 1 person waiting tables in the restaurant area, rest of the staff looking after take-away customers.

We ordered after sitting waiting for 45 minutes, just before we were about to walk out. A quick mumbled 'sorry for the wait' offered by the waitress. We waited and waited, and finally my wife went up to the counter after an hour of waiting and 2 rounds of drinks (would have been more if there was any service).

They advised they had forgotten our order and food came out 10 minutes after that. We ate our meal (a bit too much sauce and not enough meat, and naan had become paper thin since last time we remembered it). We went to pay and we noted the wait we had to endure (total 2 hrs nearly from when we walked in until when food was served) but the waitress said 'you can see we are a bit busy so you had to wait like everyone else', which we were surprised at.

This was shortly followed by 'if you aren't happy go somewhere else next time' after we told the girl we weren't impressed with the service and wasting most of our evening waiting. They wouldn't even shout us a round of drinks for the night we had, but insisted we pay every cent. We felt sorry for the young family the next table over from us, who were waiting to order when we walked in, and got served about 30 minutes after we eventually ordered.

Can't say we are keen to go back again. Perhaps, faster to order take away, but after the rudeness of staff we won't be going back.
