My wife and I dined at Alchemy on Saturday the 15th of April. We both ordered a day special with frites and mushrooms as side dishes. Both dishes were rather tasteless, except maybe for the bacon used to flavour my beef, which was way too salty and made a particularity bad combination with the beef. Veggies or herbs were nowhere to be found. The fries were tasteless, but the mushrooms were ok.
The presentation of the dishes was not good. My beef was accompanied with something tasteless looking like mashed potatoes of which the shaped reminded me of unpleasant things. Interestingly nobody asked if we enjoyed our meal, despite leaving most of it on the plates and not ordering dessert. We just couldn’t bother anymore. In short: don’t go, you will be disappointed about everything except the bill.

We had the pleasure of dining at this little french bistro in graceville. I am always keen to try the little suburban eateries as you are always sure to find a gem. Boucher does not disappoint!
For entree I ordered the moreton bay bug tails with a orange caramel and my partner the rabbit cassoulet. Mains : Beef fillet with toasted brioche and duck liver parfait, and crispy skin duck breast. To follow the creme caramel and white chocolate souffle. The meals were perfect, the waiteress was a little inexperienced, but bonus points for effort and attentiveness.
Thankyou to the staff at Boucher our evening was enjoyable and we will definitely return.

A group of us ate here and we were very disappointed. Some of the dishes were just tasteless and others didn't get what they ordered. Service was slow and poor from waiters who had no idea about the menu to rude staff at the end of the evening. Very overpriced and disappointing. There are many better French restaurants in the Brisbane area, don't waste your time on this one.

This restaurant did not live up to the good reviews, felt the meat was overcooked and the 'french' dishes a sort of brisbane version relying on lots of butter. It was noisy and hard to hear my dinner companion, which was strange because it was not very crowded -- think it has bad acoustics or something. I'd try somewhere else.

Don’t do it! Despite the food being lovely, I cannot believe the disgusting service my friends and I received at Libertine. When you’re paying 5 star prices at a restaurant, you expect high quality service right? Well the staff and owner of Libertine disagree. I was shocked and appalled at the attitude and behaviour of the staff and owner at Libertine. We were disappointed that firstly we weren’t told it was a two hour sitting – and why would we expect it when we’d been there before and sat at our table for a good 2.5 hours! On top of that, we were quickly ushered away when our meal wasn’t even finished, a staff member spilt a sauce on my friend’s dress, they didn’t offer dessert or any drinks once we were moved, a waiter slammed the menu’s on our table and kept walking, the bar staff proceeded to bash the crap out of several bags of ice right next to us, and when we expressed our disappointment, the staff grumpily shrugged us off and said “Fine, I’ll get you the bill”. We spoke to the owner who did not apologise, but rather came up with every excuse he could find to basically blame us (the paying customers) for our unsatisfactory evening. In all my life, I have never experienced such terrible management!

Thank you for a great night. What a treat for Valentines Day and what a surprise for my girlfriend. She has been talking about this little restaurant, hidden away between a german butcher and the pub on the corner for a long time now. So I decided to make her wish come true and what better day can I pick than the day of love.
Long story short. Don't wait and book in advance. We were lucky to get a table that night. Go and try, the food was so beautiful french and underlined by all the french floor staff. Even the chef is french. The French experience.
Thank you again to everyone who made our night so special.

We went to Bistrot Bistro for Valentine's day. The service was very efficient all the courses arrived promptly. The waiter was lovely and helpful with the menu. The brioche entree was nice, the salmon main was a real treat and came with a perfect little caramelised onion tart and wilted spinach and the creme brulee had a lovely creamy texture and plenty of real vanilla, even if the toffee coating on top was a little thin.
The duck main was cooked beautifully. The cheese platter dessert was not particularly generous with the cheese, but came with some lovely fresh bread.

Restaurant had good write ups so I was looking forward to a cosy lunch with my wife with good French food. Sadly disappointed with the quality of the food which was very average. The sauces were clumsily made and could have come out of a jar. We lived in France for 3 years so I know what good French food should taste like, but this was definitely not it.

This place does tapas But the tapas is practically invisible on the plate and costs between $18 - $22 for one! This is not tapas portion sizes, this is one bite size but for a main meal price. And it was bland, I had the duck filo, it was boring and very dry, I sat there adding salt just to have some flavour. One of my friends had the chicken scroll, again no flavour and 3 about the size of a 50c piece.
They also charge $10 per 40grams of cheese, this is not in a proper cheese plater with fruit and nuts etc - that's just for cheese and bread. Plus the service was blah. I haven't been to a place this bad in a long time, at least most places only charge heaps if their food is exceptional - Not this place.

Avoid! Definitely not a place to celebrate. Terrible service, stale food, hidden costs. Eleven of us went here for a friend's birthday celebration. Half the items on the menu were missing and what was available turned out to be the more expensive meals. We were supposed to have given the restaurant a whole week's notice if we wanted those unavailable items.
The entree breads n dips were stale and one of the dips tasted almost the same as one of the mains. We had bought cake for the birthday boy which the server at the restaurant brought out with plates and forks. There had been no mention of any cakeage either on his menu nor when we actually brought the cake in before the dinner. But $50 appeared on the bill and on questioning we were told that such a ridiculous amount is actually charged in all Brisbane restaurants which we know is not true. He claimed it was for washing the plates and forks he brought out, only there was no mention of this throughout the evening.
When we said we wouldn't be back because of this experience he actually said 'don't come'. Some of the people even fell ill the following day owing to the stale foods. We left with a sour taste in our mouths and very garlicky breaths!
