Whenever we're in Brisbane we like to dine at Ahmet's restaurant. It does get very busy on Friday nights, so it is advisable to make a booking. We've found that even when the place is crowded, the service is still fast.
We ordered a couple of mixed grilled platters of chicken, lamb and adana skewers and a lamb cutlet with Turkish rice and a green leaf salad. It was quite a large amount of food and it was very tasty.
We also got to see the belly dancer around 9pm. (We enjoyed the show). We'll definitely be eating here on our next visit to Brisbane.

Really nice atmosphere. They have a beautiful back terrace that overlooks the golf course. It's not overcrowded and you really feel relaxed at this place. The menu is nice. Modern Australian and really pretty reasonable so I will definitely go back again. They have kind of loyalty thing where you can sign up and get a free meal on your birthday for if you look on their website. We signed up while we were there. If you live on the North Side check it out because it's kind of a rare gem that not everyone knows about yet.

Book early! This place is amazing. You won't get any fresher, tastier or more authentic. We love this place. So cheap I hope it stays this way, it's always packed and you really have to book a week in advance if you want to eat on a fri or sat night. Staff are bubbly, relaxed and friendly. Try the fetta with honey, it's melt in your mouth.

Food was overpriced- $19 for 4 prawns and it was nothing special- just 4 prawns BBQ cooked. Waiter was not very friendly. Waited 1 hour to get our meals. Positive was the meat balls were nice. Not the tapas you get in Spain though thats for sure.

Don't let the small-looking serves fool you, the food is flavoursome and authentic, not dumbed down to western tastes, and very filling. We had the Chicken Madras (mild yet full of flavour) the Kadahi Lamb (quite spicy-hot but not unpleasantly so) and neither was swimming in oil like you get at some restaurants. If you like a good curry that makes your sinuses run but doesn't burn the lining of your stomach, then this is pretty close to perfect.
The accompanying extras such as pappadums, aloo paratha bread and cucumber raita were fresh and complimented the curries perfectly. We also had the Kashmiri Pulao (saffron rice with nuts and sultanas) which was pretty standard but added colour to the meal.

I took a friend here last night, I wasn't expecting much since it was so cheap but was pleasantly surprised. The service was average, the indian girl had no idea what she was doing, couldn't understand us and someone else came back 5 minutes later to take our order.
The food was suprisingly great. The venue is quite nice as well, I really liked the chairs. Overall very good food and great value, I will definitely be going back.

Very disappointing, terrible service and bland food.
We attended for lunch on Sunday 8th January without a reservation. The cashier/ door hostess was abrupt and gave the impression that they were booked out. After much mutterings and further curtness she decided we would be allowed to stay, an honour and privilege well above what we deserved. She never explained what the procedures were, set prices etc. Set us down and walked off. She gave the impression that she had better things to do. First impressions indeed!
The general staff were polite but unfriendly with exception of possibly the maître d’. The food was ordinary, chicken was flavourless, the three meats were bland and surprisingly not as tender as might be expected. The dessert taster was fantastic. Overall we found it to be unfriendly and overpriced at $108 for a 2 person Sunday lunch with one drink each.

Rabbit ragu was disappointing, meat was tough, tasteless and unattractively flaked (like large brown chunks of tuna), pasta was hand-made but not fresh that day.
Spatchcock was boring, seasoned with salt and pepper, plonked on a bed of mash drowned in olive oil, the whole plate was one colour and flavour, needed some parsley and lemon to liven things up a bit.
Don't get the homemade bread either, very hard and had a fishy aftertaste. The one good thing-complimentary appetiser: warm carrot soup with basil oil, this tasted lovely which made the other items we paid for seem even worse!
Service-attentive and friendly. Atmosphere-dark and eerie (especially when you go upstairs to the toilets).

What a surprise! Local to the Chermside area, my partner and I often struggle to find local eats like this! The staff were friendly and attentive and the food sensational! We enjoyed a lovely bottle of Italian chianti and mused over a range of delightful morsels offered on the antipasti selection. What was to be a brief escape from the week day dinner grind may have just become our new favorite place to go!

Loved this place. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, we were treated well. We were visiting from Sydney and went for lunch. The lovely Anthony was our waiter and he was incredibly helpful, friendly, polite with just the right level of attention. Couldn't fault him.
We both started with crudo di trota and it was superb. Perfectly flavoured. I then had the wild mushroom risotto - again, beautiful flavours, just the right portion size. My husband had the gorgonzola gnocchi which was light and tasty. We shared a mango all'amaretto for dessert which was a great mix of flavours with the mint and basil in the gelato.
Wine list was good, recommendation by staff was spot on. Total cost was around $200 (four glasses of decent wine) which I think was pretty good value. I'll be back. Thanks Anthony and Geoffrey for a great lunch!

Food was good but the service was Atrocious! On a quiet Thursday evening it took nearly an hour and a half before we got our main meals. Three times we were told the food would be ready in 5 - 10 minutes. Won't be back.

We ate dinner at Ole on Tuesday night in December 2011, as a family with 4 adults and a child, it was below par for many of the standard expectations of food service. The restaurant was half full with 3 staff members.
Disappointments : We found a hair in the food. For $17 sea-food dish I received 3 scallops in a plate, no more, no less. Mussels were over cooked. The paella for 2 people, fed 1 person. There was no bread on the menu, so we asked if there was, we received a microwave white loaf which cost us $9. Sangria was no real Sangria, it seemed more like a packet mix version. The waiter brought us the wrong meals. As we finished our water we had to ask consistently for our glasses to be refilled.
Good points - Paella did taste very good. The olive oil bottles on the tables were good. The food presentation was good. Nice setting in the southbank scene.
Even though the setting was nice, the presentation of food was nice, the restaurant looked nice, I would not eat there again as the quality of the food, the small portions and the price of the food and the poor service simply turned us away.

The first visit to Cloudland was great. Great service, great food. Based on that experience, we went back. Unfortunately, this time, the experience was less than average. From the time we made the second booking, it went badly. When we got there, the place was packed, however, there were an abundance of staff so shouldn't have been a problem. The first waiter had no idea and had to go clarify everything.
Eventually took our drink orders, however, it was 30 very long minutes before we saw them. Had a change of wait staff and the service improved. Food was nice but not very much of it and they completely forgot about the gluten-free request.
In the end, the lunch was acceptable. Just. Then the bill arrived. Supposed to be a fully inclusive charge, drinks and food. So when the bill was $880 instead of $480, we were a tad surprised. Took them 30 minutes to sort it out. Would we go back again? Probably not.

Couldn't be much worse. The food itself was mediocre and for the price was not worth ordering. We ordered tapas and the food was bland and barely edible, the mini burger buns were in fact stale. We also ordered cocktails which were no better. Won't be going back.

An absolutely lovely evening with great food. Best butter chicken I have ever had. Service excellent. Very attentive but not overbearing. Portions were huge does justifies the Price to be "reasonable". It was nice when the chef himself came out to greet us and ask how our dinner was, If you're looking for a good authentic indian restaurant for a family night out, with good value and good service this is a must.

Could not wait to go to this restaurant, but have no idea what the fuss is a about. Had booked for a special night to take my parents out but this place could not shine the shoes of Bennelong. Was a complete waste of $850.00 for four people. Please choose another 5 star restaurant in Sydney. The four courses I tasted had no Wow factors. We actually lunched at somewhere else in Potts Points for lunch and enjoyed the food a lot more.

Both of our (very different) curries tasted exactly the same. That taste was of tomatoes and pretty much nothing else. I didn't think it was possible to get butter chicken wrong, but they managed. I've honestly had better butter chicken from a jar. And for $20 a curry, that's completely unacceptable. We had a 2 for 1 voucher (which they Very begrudgingly accepted) and we were Still unhappy with the price!
The service was hilariously inept. They barely said a word of greeting or thanks upon arriving and leaving. When we went to pay they stared at us expectantly, without saying a word for literally 10 seconds. Time passed. It was awkward.
In short, we've never been to a more hilariously inadequate restaurant. We had been here before under the old management and loved it, and were very disappointed with the new management's...everything. We won't be going back.
Response from Management:
