Lunched here recently. Service was ordinary and attitudes of the waitstaff were apathetic. It was a quiet day, not many other diners or large parties. Despite this, it took forever for our meals to arrive. Our meals were below average in quality and Very overpriced. Don't bother going there. I'll never go back that's for sure, such poor value for money.

Tried The Belvedere twice. I was served by bogans. Had grissly steak, bugs that looked more like smashed crabs and scallops in shell that you needed a magnifying glass to see. Overpriced dressed-up meals. Won't be back.

Food was underwhelming, service was terrible, and the overzealous bar madam requires a course in customer service, I have never heard anyone speak to a paying customer like she did and will Never dine there again. I have taken the liberty of telling all of my friends and posting this blog on as many food reviews as I can! Disgraceful behaviour!

I have been to spinnakers many times over the years, for family functions birthdays, even my own 21st. it is clear to see that it survives purely on its reputation of years ago, and offers cold bland food, always the same and old dirty fittings. Staff there are usually rude and unfriendly although it is harsh to judge them all that way, but tables and chairs are unclean sticky menus are slimy with grease.

The last time we went there the best thing to eat were the lamingtons, and my partner and younger brother both fell ill. Drinks are over priced considering and feels like eating at an expensive but old pub.

This review is of "Spinnakers", which is attached to the Belvedere Hotel. The area next door in the steak house was quite pleasant, though we didn't eat there.

The food at Spinnakers was quite unappealing and while it's advertised as "all you can eat", it was predominantly "all you can eat pasta and potato" in all its variations. There were a few salads, but again, they really only consisted of pasta and potato salads. The roast section involved fatty pieces of meat that sat in a small pool of warm water and fat. The deep fried food had been sitting there for quite a while, and were stale and greasy. We didn't try the Chinese food because half an hour after we arrived (by 8:15pm), an employee shouted that the buffet was closing in 10 mins. We hardly had time to finish what was on our plate and the lights were dimmed 12 minutes later. By 9pm, everyone was basically "evacuated".

The atmosphere was poor with unattractive fittings. The older employees there were barking demands at the young women who also worked there. For $24.50 without drinks, I would have at least expected "something" to be pleasant there.

As far as buffets go, the food at other buffet restaurant is far superior and fresh. We expected the food at Spinnakers to be a step up, considering it was a little more expensive. After speaking to others who have dined there on other occasions, they too had a poor experience. We do not recommend this restaurant.

We were extremely disappointed. We arrived at 6 pm on a Sunday evening to be greeted by a girl working there who could care less. It was cold, and she seated us outside. We were in the wind and it began to rain. What was really annoying was that there were plenty of spare tables inside under heaters, with no offer of where we would like to sit.

The food was poor, tasteless and bland. The meals are SERIOUSLY overpriced and we were terribly disappointed in a meal that cost $80 for a cold miserable night. The reef and beef consisted of 2 prawns only, 1/2 a bug, and a dry chewy steak that was tough. The garlic bread tasted like a stale bread roll that was just thrown in the toaster. Will be contacting the manager as this was just not acceptable. The better option would have been to go to elsewhere, a cheaper, better quality restaurant, least we would have been warm! Not happy. Don't waste your time or money... honestly.

This is a great venue, it has however lost its edge, in the details that is although we were one of the first customers there, we had to ask /collect our own menus & cutlery. The quick kids meals didn't appear until the whole order was ready. The service for coffee was prompt however, nothing was cleared till we all finished which was great/correct.

Great position, looking back over towards shorncliffe across the bay, to sit and have a leisurely couple of drinks. The foods typical pub fair, but on the better than average. Steaks are big, and done as requested. The seafood was good with large sweet prawns. A better than average pub with bayside feel.
