We passed this restaurant by for a few years. Finally we ate there and the food was really superb. They also specialise in wines, most good and not cheap. Atmosphere dingy from the outside but we grew to like the dark bar atmosphere, as the waiter is right there on the other side of the counter and the neighbors were friendly with other food snobs around out, swapping restaurant notes, fun.

Alway fantastic to eat and drink here. Intimate and interesting, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The selection of food, wine, beers changes regularly and usually it is very tempting to try more than you should simply because it is not something you'll get anywhere else. I highly recommend it for any jaded palate, its as refreshing as having weekend of gastronomy at some of Sydney or Melbourne's best.

Everything about this little hole-in -the-wall is fabulous. Sure you need to book ahead as it only sit like 18 at a time, but is worth the effort. The owner/operator ensures that you are well briefed on the wine available. Food is superb - very high quality and always an unusuall twist.

Come here if you want to love food and wine, and talk about it to the experienced/knowledgeable hosts. They also have international beers, I was able to get Fullers ESB, a fine English ale, the best if you ask me. The food was magnificent due to the carefully picked ingredients. Cheese available is sublime as well to finish the night.

Pretty good. We went for an anniversary celebration and it was quite a nice place to go. Tiny, with only 20 seats or so, but despite the shoulder to shoulder dining experience, it wasn't too intrusive. We went on a night when there happened to be a lot of couples, so everyone was sort of chatting to themselves and the atmoshpere was fine.

The wine selections are great. The cheese souffle and pate are recommended entrees, however, our mains were not good. My boyfriend had the duck which was dry and tasteless, and I had the steak with was not great. Apart from the lacklustre mains, it was a good place to go and it is recommended if you like French and want to try something different!
