I love this place so much. They are only open for lunch on Fridays so half of Toowong turns up for lunch. I have absolutely no complaint about this place except that they are not closer to where I live (Enoggera). They have an awesome menu that fits for everyone, so when we have a table of 20, everyone is happy. Their Naan breads are to die for.
Loved this place. Delicious food. Right heat. Extensive menu to choose from. Took extras away for the train trip home. Very envious co travellers. First dining port of call during the next Brisbane stay. Will be back next year.
The food we had was terrible and disappointing considering we had heard a lot about this place. The lamb briyani tasted of raw masala, the butter chicken was watery and flavourless and the naans and briyani rice alright. My boyfriend and I were extremely disappointed with the food. I have never gone back since.
The only negative comment I can make is that the chairs are terribly uncomfortable, and the food comes out too quickly! We booked for 7.30 and had finished our meal and were ready to pay at 8.45. But as usual (we are locals and have been here a few times before), the food is sensational, the menu is extensive, with a few items you don't see at other indian restaurants. And if you ask for 'hot', it actually really does come HOT, which we love. Double thumbs up.
The best place I have ever had Indian food, service was 10/10, waiter explained menu items well as we were dining with people who had not had indian often. Food was divine and promptly served. We had for entrees the special mix. Mains were Chicken Biryani, Lamb Chilli Curry, Butter Chicken, Palak Paneer and Tandoori Platter between 5 of us also with Naans, Rice, Raita and Mango Chutney. Dishes may appear small but don't be fooled.
Definitely value for money as we all came away satisfied and full. Appears to be a family run business, all who were friendly and helpful. They also donate part of their takings to a school in Northern India for the students, equipment etc. Definitely would go back!!
