My family and I ate here, when we sat down we were told that there was a 30 minute wait on food. I don't think that their kitchen is designed to cook for the amount of customers they have because it took more than 30 minutes for food to come out.

When ordering food we asked that our desserts to come out after we have finished our mains. The waiter came to our table two times with a plate of dessert before our food came out to be asked by us twice that we would like to have the dessert after our mains.

We asked for no onions in our steak sandwich (allergy), it came out with onions. For dessert we ordered 3 pot plant scones, 2 only came out and we waited for the third that didn't come.

When we went to the register to pay we told them that the third scone had not come out, only to be informed that it had run out in a very unapologetically manner. Very inconsiderate, clearly no manners to advise us beforehand that the food had run out and not kept us waiting.

We won't be coming back to this place. The service is poor.

Worst service ever - went there over Easter, ordered the pasta, the waiter came back 5 mins later and said wasn't ready so changed to a steak burger, 20 (yes 20) minutes later he returned to say they had run out of steak so changed order to Salmon - a waitress cam back a few minute later to say - No salmon but the pasta was now ready - will never go back there again and will tell all my friends.

Went there with family in the busy (Leura Gardens Floriada) period. I can be patient waiting for food. But this was unacceptably long. I had my coffee reasonably quickly but then waited for 20 minutes for my cake, asked a waitress, then 5 minutes later asked a weaitress again, and then again another waiter. By the time I got my cake (the wrong one - not the one I ordered) my coffee was cold and I was angry. Waitress was wearing tights which were completely torn and looked ugly and inappropriate. Wouldn't go there again. Never.

I have eaten here several times in the past and was very unimpressed with the food and service but I visited again a couple of weeks ago to find that the service was not only prompt but very efficient, I was approached three times to before my friend had even arrived. We ordered and received our meals a short time later. I am very happy I took the chance to try this cafe again. Well done guys, great job.

Me and the other 2 diners fell ill, when I rang they were terribly rude although I wasn't angry when I called, I just thought I'd save them from ruining their business over a slip up, but apparently it wasn't a slip up, they simply didn't care, staff too busy talking about "hooking up" to attend diners. This happened about 3 years ago, I haven't gone back since and have never heard anything better from ppl regarding this place.

Great Pumpkin Soup, always freshly made and the bacon and rolls are very tasty. The scones are so big that I can hardly finish them. But I did manage! Very friendly staff.

Went here yesterday with my Hubby for breakfast, ordered 2 coffees, he had the mountain breakfast and I had the pancakes.

Coffees arrived reasonably quick although not very hot, we had finished these and still sat around for our meals, none of which required a great deal of skill to cook, and we were the only people in the cafe.

After 20 minutes, almost half house wait, our meals finally arrived. The mushrooms on the Mountain Breakfast, were completely burnt, black and dry, totally unedible. The tomatoes were burnt on the bottom, the sausage was cut in half lengthwise and fried, (like it was the only way they could cook it through), the only thing on the plate that appeared somewhat eadible was the toast.

I ordered pancakes with banana, lemon butter and maple syrup, which when it came out was one pancake, an old banana normal butter and syrup. After taking a bite of the pancake I realized the entire bottom was totally burnt, the edges were crispy and the pancake itself tasted like charcoal and bicarb soda, it wasn't fluffy either.

We ate what we could (which wasn't alot) the staff didn't seem to care we weren't enjoying the meal they were too busy discussing their weekend plans. I assume being a Saturday morning they get mostly tourists and don't care if they don't come back, which shouldn't make any difference in the food provided anyway. I'm a local and go out every weekend for breakfast, thought I would try somewhere different for a change.

After this experience I definitely won't be coming back, there are so many better places to eat and better value for money (especially when you can't eat most of it).

The Wayzgoose is a favourite for my daughter and I. We love nothing better than getting cosy in a booth on a rainy mountains day with a smooth, rich coffee and a big slice of lemoncurd cheesecake!

The lunch menu is also full of yummy things as well as new and delicious specials always appearing on the blackboard. I recommend the beef pot pie, or the fish special is always a good one too! Top marks Wayzgoose for your consistently great food and service.

My husband and I visit the Wayzgoose each year on our wedding anniversary to have the delightful flowerpot scones. Over the last two years, we have been served by the same lovely young blonde girl (who we were disappointed to find this year is no longer working there). It is lovely to go back there and be remembered by staff every time and experience friendly, efficient service. The food is delightful, the coffee high quality, and the general feel of dining in the relaxing, beautiful Blue Mountains is something to be recommended to anyone!
