Great place to go for a great eat. Have been there several times and on every occasion service has been prompt and the food has been great. Their gourmet pizzas are terrific!.

We dined here during a weekend in the moutains and were really impressed. The waitresses were attentive and funky, (and one had quite a sense of humour). After a cranky couple couldn't wait 5 minutes for their garlic bread we were ushered to their (nicer) table. The mains were large and beautifully prepared. A very nice restaurant with a beautiful art deco feel.

First dined at the Savoy in July 2004. I wandered in without booking on a Sunday night and was seated straight away and immediately given water plus complimentary tasty bread and olive oil with balsamic vinegar while I was selecting from the varied menu. Great value for money - three courses for one person, plus coffee, just $32.00. Don't be put off by my "mainly Italian" label - there are plenty of other selections. For example, the bread and butter pudding was the best I've tasted, and the presentation excellent - I've tried it in many places and The Savoy has now set a "benchmark" for me. Vienna coffee also superb. Excellent service - not intrusive, but observant and helpful. Chef is flexible and talented. Pleasant ambience, small and intimate, run by a warm, welcoming husband and wife team who know their food and their coffee. Choose a window street and watch all the characters of Katoomba wander by as you dine. Heartily recommended. I'll be going back there often.
