Being a local, I have been to Savoy many times and they have never let me down. Recently i went with a very large group of around 10 people and the waitresses were very helpful in organizing one table for us all, as well as correctly getting all our orders. The proportions are good and the meals, hearty. All for pretty good value as well. I would certainly recommend Savoy.

Went here over queens bday long weekend, my partner and i were starving and it was the first place we saw so we went in. I ordered the Chicken Parmagiana and he ordered the Beef Lasagne, also ordered garlic breads and drinks too.
The food here is just like pub food, massive servings and good value, the food wasn't spectacular but for the price and serving it made up for it, it also came out fast too.
The service here though is Terrible, we got there at about 8.30 pm and it was somewhat quiet, I had to approach a waitress to take our order then our garlic bread we ordered came out like 5 minutes after, but we hadn't even received our drinks yet! I pointed this out and the waitress immediately brought us our drinks (with attitude), mains came out quickly too.
The waitresses here have a real attitude problem, rude, curt and abrupt, but I guess the food isn't bad value though so that makes up for their rudeness, but still I don't understand what their problem was, it wasn't even a busy saturday night!
The rudeness has not turned us off the place though, we would probably have no problem coming back here for a hearty meal next time we visit the mountains.

Just came in here for some dessert and drinks after dinner. It is old and a bit tatty inside, but I think thats why a lot of people eat here.
Just like an old diner with live music. Nice sized portions and a decent price. The desserts we got were nothing special but definitely satisfied us. Some of the dinner meals we seen looked quite good size and simple.

Was a bit disappointed after the good reviews. Only average breakfast here, not as good as other places in Katoomba. Cheap and cheerful though with nice staff.

Small and cosy, nothing fancy just decent food. Music on Friday night was fantastic! Three guitarists playing Jazz and enjoying their work! Definitely worth a visit.

Just visited this restaurant on the weekend, menu looked great, good variety, entree was served within 15 minutes of sitting. Waited for 1 hour and fifteen minutes for main after entree was cleared. Was approached by staff once and they really did not seem to care and could not advise us why it was taking so long. 10 tables came ate and left after we had arrived and we were still there. Was close to walking out when meals came, mains were rushed, untidy and bland. Really would advise people to stay away from this one.

Its pub food without the pub! Huge servings, place has a diner feel to it. Great veal schnitzel and for as small and cosy as it is they even had live entertainment. Nothing fancy just decent hearty food!

Visited Savoy for a nice very simple dinner. I had the salmon pasta which was really nice. We did wait a while for the food to come out, but admittedly it was a busy night when we visited. It is a really good value place for food and would recommend it for families or anyone who doesn't want anything fancy.

My partner and I go here almost weekly. The breakfasts are the best in the mountains, dinners are super quick and huge! I never leave disappointed. The menu is great too, really varied. I have a list in my head of what I want next time. But the steaks and pastas are best.

It's become a tradition to have dinner at Savoy's when we're in the Blue Mountains. We used to go to the Limetree for simple fare such as steaks, burgers and pastas, but since they have closed we've started going to the Savoy. My top favourite is the rump steak with perfect chips and creamy pepper sauce. They really know how to cook a steak and the sauce is to die for.
For a very simple dish they do it super well and the meat is not bad quality either. The serving is huge too if you're a big eater. My partner had the cheese burger and although he said the meat patty wasn't the best he's ever had, the combo of mustard and cheese made the burger and chips were nicely cooked. I've also had the kangaroo burger before and meat was cooked just perfect and very tender.
I'd recommend this place for a family dinner (if you want to avoid the pub) on the cheap and for others who might be spending up big on accommodation and just want to go out for an inexpensive no fuss dinner.
