Went here for lunch with family. None of the expensive items on the bland menu caught my eye so I had a caesar salad with smoked salmon. Only the scarce shavings of smoked salmon were lovely. I also finished my mums fettuccine. jenny craig's and mccains' frozen fettuccine meals are nicer.

The staff are nice and friendly though! Service was slow today but on a slow day I'm sure it's quick. But I'll never know. I can't tell you how the coffee is because none of us had any. Go somewhere else instead.

If you want good service Don't eat here. The cup I had my coffee in last week had lipstick from a previous customer on it. The supervisor is rude and condescending. She told my party of 4 to sit at a certain table and when I objected that it was too small, she replied, "You just have to sit there!". We waited a long time for our meal which was cold when it arrived. I'll be eating elsewhere in future.

Over-priced, average food but they had friendly staff which I always find is a positive to a cafe.

I generally try to find positives in every establishment, went to the Valley Heights Mountain Blue while getting a wheel allignment and was thouroughly disappointed. The number of staff outweighed customers. About 8 staff on a quiet Monday morning, are you serious? You would think that they would be extremely efficient with that many staff, however ended up waiting about 30 mins for a coffee and cake. I deliberately asked what the freshest cake was (knowing that cafe cakes can often sit in the fridge for days). Ordered the tiramisu and it was as hard as a rock. Yuck!

The woman also managed to place my serviette down and then sprinkle icing sugar all over it, which then in turn fell all over my lap. What ever happened to common sense? Then to make matters worse, the barista, after placing our coffees down, noticed that the table was off balance and decided to straighten it up then and there. Our coffees spilt all over the saucers and he didnt even acknowledge it. Also very poor value for money. What a joke of an establishment. I will never ever ever return.

I've given this place a few tries now and still find the food to be overpriced and basic.

My last visit (which will definitely be my last) I was served mouldy bread. The service was ok and they didn't charge for my meal, but my friend was forced to pay for hers even though she was unable to eat it after being turned off by the poor standards of my meal. Very poor form and I wonder about the hygiene standards of the kitchen after such an experience.

A great restaurant, I am a frequenter of both the glenbrook and valley heights cafe's and I have never, in my myriad of visits gone away with a bad taste in my mouth from the food, nor service. The Hawaiian Schnitzel is definitely one to try.

The coffee is the only thing good about this place. I always phone and order ahead. Have had a couple of meals here not very impressed and always sorry I didn't insist on going elsewhere. Plenty of much better restaurants/cafes in the village. The staff have always been very nice and friendly but due to a shortage of staff they all look very hassled and worn out.

Have been here many times, usually for dessert and/or hot chocolate. Great value and great desserts! Meals are fine, it is a cafe! Food portions are good and service is usually prompt, expect delays when they are really busy. My only complaint would be that it gets really noisy when they are very busy, maybe some acoustic tiles on the walls and ceiling would help with that. Going outside?, usually too many smokers.
