Used to go there everyday, but I'm overseas now. I miss mash and the team. Perhaps they can post me some pasta.

After all the very positive comments about Mash we were expecting something very special. Unfortunately good food, good value and a pleasant location are often let down by tardy and slow service and this was the case during our visit on a Thursday afternoon.
The staff were friendly enough and it was busy but 45 minutes from sit-down to first plate on the table is out of bounds. And it wasn't a shortage of staff, there seemed to be enough to go around but perhaps a less of what I call "scud missile" syndrome where the wait staff make a bee-line to and from a table and never think to check other tables along the way. Just a glance to let us know we are there would be nice. It's like they have blinkers on.
The home made pasta was on the money and the mud cake is indeed delicious. We had the cake take away as we didn't want to wait again and even though the cafe had all but emptied by sweets time we still waited. Nobody came near us for the sweets menu or the coffee or the bill.
We'll maybe try an evening but you'll have to life your service game quite a bit guys before you beat some of the others.

I was invited to mash for lunch by a friend who recommended mash for their great organic lunchtime menu. I had possibly the best Cajun chicken burger I've ever had served up quickly and styled worthy of a centerfold in a gourmet cook book. The service was great they were willing to answer any questions about the origins and nature of there organic produce. I will definitely have future lunches at Mash and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to have a great lunch.

We had a wonderful night out celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. This restaurant is set up with a very laid back feel but without sacrificing the quality of either the food or the service. The food also 'flowed' nicely ... just after one course finished, the next was ready to go. This place is also committed to Fair Trade supplies and also puts back into the local community.
I fully intend to use this as my 'local' even though I live a good 10 minutes drive away. We can highly recommend it for a lovely night out at a reasonable price.

I have had dinner here several times and love the chef's menu - my favourite at the moment is the Cowra Lamb (sensational!). The young staff really look like they are enjoying themselves - and the coffee is consistently good. Well done to the owners for creating such a delightful Glenbrook venue.

We went for lunch and it was quite good- service was friendly, decide to go back for dinner and it was not worth the increase in price.

We discovered Mash through Eatability, quite by accident. We live in the lower Blue Mountains, and surprisingly, find it quite difficult to find an eating venue in our area that suits us.
Mash is a surprising jewel in the crown of the Mountains! The service was flawless, the food exceptional, the venue cosy, romantic and personal, and the price met our expectations (this is a restaurant after all...) The waitstaff were attentive (but not 'in your face'), friendly and welcoming. Full credit to the kitchen which was able to synchronise delivery of each course of our meal. It was obvious that our meals had not been sitting under a warming lamp waiting to be delivered! This was even the case for larger tables nearby. The meal portion sizes were as expected and we were able squeeze in 3 courses (perhaps we shouldn't have had the bread as a starter!?)
Last week Mash won a major award for Best New Restaurant in the Blue Mountains/Central West Region so we assume this hidden jewel will soon be inundated with new devotees. The menu is comprehensive and adventurous - from vegetarian to venison, beautifully presented with several different taste combinations. Worthy of special mention was the Chocolate Indulgence dessert - a subtle combination of chocolate, cardamom and a touch of chilli - that was to die for and well worth squeezing in!
We'll be back! We are new fans of this delightful establishment. Well done.

There is a great energy here. Staff are friendly and the food is superb. Its also great to see their committment to youth projects (Oxfam International and literacy in local schools). Having eaten here a few times, unfortunately on each occasion the service has let them down. Although its great to have a relaxed atmosphere its important to check and bus your tables promptly. All other aspects are fantastic.

First time visitors to mash, we were greeted with some excellent service, great atmosphere. The entree and mains were very good. The deserts are 10 out of 10, the lindt mud cake is luscious.
