My first stop in the mountains and I wanted to be comfortable and warm with my partner. We decided to try this place and to our amazement this place had a roaring fire going, it was fantastic. Exactly what we needed, warmth. Now for the food, since it was still early we decided to have breakfast even thou the lunch menu looked good. I had eggs benedict with salmon and it was sensational, just divine.
My partner had the goats cheese and grilled tomatoes on gluten free bread. She was thrilled to have a gluten free breakfast. We enjoyed our coffees but we found it hard to leave, it was cold outside but here it was so warm. I look forward to returning, its a good decent place.

I used to work at Loaves and Dishes. The bosses are tyrants, the food isn't properly rotated and can be a week old in some cases, the customer is never right, and once a whole quiche was dropped on concrete and still served. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Its also horrifically over priced.

Just the kind of hearty, uncomplicated fare that I am seeking in the Blue Mountains. Sure, everything is prepared ahead but there is some merit in the simplicity of pointing at something, and having it delivered with salad. My pumpkin soup was good and thick, perfect for a rainy days in the mountains and my hubbies chicken burrito tasted like fresh made, though could have been hotter. Decadent cakes to finish off, shame the weather was not condusive to walking it off after lunch!

Like the previous reviewer, I am not taken in by the "micro-wave everything" culture, but I assume it's for health reasons. The big, communal tables aren't my thing, but if you like sharing your expensive meal with strangers, this is the place for you. The log fire in winter, is lovely though. My soup I had was hot and hearty and the other diners were happy with their meals.
The service was the standard, bored "17 y/old" with too many facial piercings, but they got all the orders right and were fast and efficient. I wouldn't go there again.

There is a large choice of pies, tarts, and lasagna. Everything is fresh but the problem is that it is cold. So, if you decide to eat there, your piece of pie will be heat up in.... micro-waves, which is disgusting for the price you pay. You will have some salad with your pie, but not a lot. I took a chicken fatata (13,95$), it was tasteless. The colour was really strange for an omelette, and the vegetables they put in were undefinable. Really bad experience.

It looks like a very modest cafe from outside, but the food is cheap and amazing! Very eclectic menu with great salads and nice Veg fare. Basic but friendly service. A must if you go to the Blue Mountains!

Food is good but lacks variety. We've been there twice, and given that it's a pie cafe we kind of expected them to have introduced something new from the last time we came.
The pumpkin soup I had was beautiful, especially with the butter mixed in. My girlfriend's Thai fish cakes were also good. The portions are really good sizes, and well worth the money. Service is basic, bistro-style. This place is good for a quick and simple lunch.

What a great spot to recharge after a great day in the mountains. It has a good choice of gluten free products which my partner enjoyed and a variety of food to die for. I wish I lived closer. You have to go there.
I look forward in revisting

We stopped off here on the weekend on our way home. I liked the large tables which allowed our group to all sit together. Management and staff were friendly. Service was great and the food was yummy. Great choice of vegetarian dishes.
The tea is loose leaf tea not tea bags which I detest. The orange and almond cake were the best. Will definitely stop there again on a road trip.
