Overview of Lily's Pad Cafe & Takeaway

The cafe is superb. It is situated in the converted rear veranda of a beautifully renovated mountain home. Dining selection is simple and healthy. Great coffees and deserts. Staff are very friendly and cheerful.

There is nothing better on a winter's morning or afternoon to sit by the window in sunshine, sipping a latte. In summer the outside dining is perfect. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Perfect break from taking in the sights of the region or taking a break from shopping.

Went here with a group of people with kids for lunch. Staff went out of their way to set us up with a table out of the way in the shade perfect for the littlies. Food and drinks were fine and reasonably priced, only hitch was the staff brought everything out in dribs and drabs and took a while for it all to arrive. Water feature in the garden was a hit with the littlies.

Food was very fresh and tasty. A lovely little cafe with friendly service. My partner and I both ordered turkish melts and had half of each others followed by pecan and maple cheesecake with ice cream, yummy! If I visit Leura again, I will be back!

Home made scones, real home made jam and fresh cream, not from an aerosol can. Coffee delicious, a winner all round. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend

A delightful little spot tucked away but conveniently located beside the car park behind Leura Mall. The staff, especially Michelle and Richard, go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. Richard has a great sense of humour which guests we've taken there have enjoyed.

When we arrived it was a little awkward at first as we didn't know whether to make an order at the register or to sit and wait for someone to take our order, it seemed a little disorganised. However, once we were seated and they knew we were there the service was fantastic from then on.

I ordered the mushrooms and poached eggs with focaccia and my partner ordered pancakes with berries, walnuts and maple syrup. The mushrooms fish was excellent and interesting (4 or 5 different types of mushrooms) and the in-house baked focaccia was one of the nicest bits of bread I've ever eaten! The poached eggs were cooked perfectly too which is a nice change from the almost hard boiled eggs you can get plopped onto your plate at other places.

My partner's pancakes (I had to try some myself, they looked so good) were also top notch. I normally only enjoy crepes and thick pancakes in a stack isn't normally my thing, but all my reservations about thick rubbery pancakes were put to bed after having one bite of these. They were amazing and I almost wished I had ordered them instead!

I would highly recommend Lily's Pad to any visitor's of Leura, it's a great place to have some brunch before a day of mountain exploration. Some of the best food I've eaten in a while. Try the white hot chocolate too, delicious!

We visited the Blue Mountains on the weekend and had selected this cafe from the reviews in Eatability. It is well worth a visit - in fact we went back for another lunch the following day. The value for money is excellent, the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly.

Cute little cafe tucked on the outside of Leura. I had poached eggs on a cold morning which was very nice, ordered with a side of bacon and baked beans. Beans were home made but very salty. I thought about the big breakfast but decided eggs, toast, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans and sausages seemed a bit much that morning. We arrived at 8am right on opening and were lucky enough to grab one of the 5 tables inside - it is very cosy! Was a squeeze to get out afterwards. They have many regulars it seems, 2 tables had reserve signs placed, which were promptly filled as the customers were served with the 'usual'. I eyed off a beautiful fresh flute platter on the near table, which I will order next time. My partner had the butterscotch pancakes and was also satisfied. A nice start to a cold morning but I would hate to be seated outside with the miniscule heater. Service was friendly enough.

We were seated outside with heating, I felt it was still a tad cold, but what can you expect when you are seated outside.

I had the Big Brekkie. I would rename it the Enormous brekkie. It was such a waste because I could only finish off 1/2. You can quite happily share this amongst 2 people (unless you are both big eaters). It was a good brunch.

We planned a drive to Leura over the long weekend and wanted somewhere nice and inexpensive to enjoy lunch with our 8 and 11 yr olds. After checking out this website, we decided to give Lily's Pad Cafe a go and we were definitely not disappointed. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, the steak sandwiches with a choice of 2 sides of either salad, roasted vegies, pasta bake and rice were superb.

My son had the kids homemade mini meat pie which my daughter then wanted and between them ate 3 they were so good. The kids had hot chocolates, we had the best coffees ever and as for the desserts, scones, orange and hazelnut cake and dairy free orange cake were all superb. All that food and drink for under $100.00. And all homemade. Even the bread our steak was sitting on.

The service was very friendly and absolutely nothing was a problem. It is a very small cafe with a covered outdoor sitting area with heaters and blankets too. Very well thought out. It is located at the back of the woollies car park. Always a good idea to book. We will definitely go back, soon I hope.
