This is probably one of the worst "Chinese" restaurants I've ever been to. The service is poor and rude with the waiters mindlessly throwing plates on the table, the food is atrocious and it is appalling to refer any dish in this place to anything close to Chinese cuisine. As for value you'd be better off going to a fast food chain than to this restaurant with a ridiculous minimum $20pp charge for a dimly lit atmosphere, poor service and pitiful food.
This is definitely one of those restaurants suited for westerners as they know nothing better than to dine at a place with a misleading name and pass it off as Chinese food. I see their only source of income comes from Asian tourists having no other option but dine at the only available Chinese restaurant in the mountainous area in a sense luring tourists on a one-off basis.

Very good Australian Chinese food. Light, flavoursome fare and a pleasant atmosphere. One of the few places in Katoomba that deliver and I've never had a problem with my order. Expensive but a worthwhile treat for tourists or special occasion dinner for locals.

Very rude people and run by the kitchen it would seem. They decrease the size of the portions and start charging more. Just had a terrible experience at this establishment that I was going to regularly but started noticing my mains (that happened to be vegetables) starting coming in a smaller size boxes but I was still being charged the same. I was treated with a lot of disrespect like I was some sort of crazy nutter. That is the last time I use this restaurant. They definitely ruined my appetite for this evening.
Love ash...

Went here about 3 or 4 years ago, loved the flowers on the table, the cocktails, the family restaurant vibe and the food was great, I get takeaway all the time from here.

Food was quick to come out, all was delicious. Would definitely go back. I recommend the chicken and cashews highly!

Plastic plants in the foyer are a worry but real sprig of orchids at each table is nice. Lettuce cup was delicious. Special Hot Pot was fantastic. Waiter offerred boneless but we chose 'on-the-bone' Yum. Food took a long time to come but it was worth the wait.

Ho hum, your choice of bland, fried or watery western offerings served by the trough full. Still, it was cheap and the self-service aspect was good. Fried rice was nice and the beer was cheap. Friendly staff though I did see a few 'forced' smiles. Would not race back though, the missus hated it and left most of hers behind.

Better than average suburban Chinese. Small serves, no rice by the bucket and sometimes noisy are the negatives but food is good quality and sometimes inventive. Wine is cheap. Service quick.

Just what you expect from "a local" chinese. Run of the mill dishes, cooked the same as all suburban "chinese restaurants". Nothing flash, and you know what you're getting and pretty much what your bill will add up to at the end of the night.
We enjoyed standard dishes, salt n pepper calamari, sate combination, boiled rice and a couple of drinks. $50. No complaints from me.
Tasted like I thought it would, filled a hole, descent atmosphere and service. I'd recommend it if you have a hankering for some local chinese.

I don't know why everyone's giving this place a hard time, it does exactly what it says on the tin! We had westernised chinese meal of dumplings, crispy duck, beef and cashew and it was delicious.
The waiters were attentive but not invasive, the atmosphere was pleasant, and very reasonable priced. We went to Lilian fields the night before and were stung over $200 for a meal that was not fantastic and very stuff, so if you're looking for a middle of the road meal (between the high end, high maintenance restaurants or the local RSL) I would recommend somewhere else, we loved it and would go back tomorrow!
