The potato sourdough is fantastic. The hot cross buns are nice enough but at $2 a pop quite expensive.

We were visiting the Blue Mountains last weekend (Aug 20, 2011), and walked past this bakery. We tried the Chunky Beef pie ($5.70). Wow, it has to be one of the best beef pie we have eaten. We will definitely be coming back again.

Cannot pass this Bakery without picking up a loaf of what has to be the best sourdough and selection available. Crusty, rich, flavoursome and makes the best wedge toast with quality butter.

The best bread in the mountains, and among the best bread in greater Sydney. The potato sourdough is divine. Moist, chewy, dense and tangy with the perfectly textured crust. For a little taste, pop up to The Hattery Cafe for breakfast, Hominy makes a Pane Italian exclusively for them, which is also very yummy.

Haven't tried the cakes, but have tried the choc hazlenut cookies. A little dry for my taste, I prefer them a little moister. But still very tasty and would buy again.

The best Sourdough Bread in the Mtns, hands down! I often walk out of here with a freshly baked loaf cradled in my arm like a baby, before carefully placing it in the car and anticipating what to do with it when I get home. Usually I slather thick wedges of it with good quality butter after lightly toasting. It's true what they say about the simple things.

I've been here three times, and it's a must when in Katoomba. They judge perfectly the amount of sweetness, the texture, and the flavours especially in the cakes. Have not had any coffee here, and they don't have a sit down area. Also, it is a delightful atmosphere but the service is not as warm as you might expect from the name and the aroma. Many good places on the strip, and if you see this one give it a go.
