Stayed here for 2 nights. Echoes is well worth the price IF you get a suite with a view. Dramatic scenery overlooking the Jamison valley made us completely forget about the atrocious service. The service at dinner reminded me so much of faulty towers that my wife and I were virtually giggling and were able to name all the staff as characters from the classic TV show. The food served is OK but not worth the price they charge. They really should update their wine list as they could not find my first selection. Conclusion..the old saying is true...the better the view the worse the service/food.

We stayed for the weekend, they boast every room has a view, not ours. You had to step out of the room onto the communal courtyard to see the view. No cooked breaksfast on the weekend yet we were told that there was before we booked. Apparently the chef was sick. Felt totally ripped off. Will never go back and hope you don't ethier.

Is located in a fantastic setting with wonderfuls views over the Jamison Valley, however the food here was not prepared to our liking. The steaks did not arrive as ordered. Whilst the service and atmosphere was generally very good, there was not much else to recommend in the food department. Another gripe we brought 3 bottles of wine on a weeknight, we were the only people there. We were charged $25 per bottle for corkage, admittedly we were told this before we went in but $75 in total for corkage for the evening was just a bit much especially when other very good restaurants nearby charge a much smaller amount.

Very average food even at half the price. Not one of our steaks came as order. I ordered mine medium-rare and it came medium-well. There's no excuse for that. Having said that, the views are fantastic and though the place was almost empty (on Yulefest weekend!) there were enough of us to make the atmosphere good. With a bit more effort, this could be a great place but I couldn't recommend it unless you feel the need to overpay for a good view.

I attended a wedding reception here and have to say that I felt for the bride at the end of the night. The food was ok but there wasn't enough to last the dinner. The wait staff were pleasent enough, but the manager was in a foul mood the whole night. The reception ended early at the request of the manager (practically threw the guests out) and by the end of the reception the bride was in tears. Definitely would recommend this place for a reception. They obviosuly don't have the professionalism that you would expect when you consider how much receptions cost.

We chose this venue for it's amazing views for our wedding reception. The food itself was quite nice although it didn't take long for them to run out of the food that was promised to last all evening. The floor staff were good but the manager who had wandered around without introducing himself. By the end of the night the he had the bride in tears and we drove home to sleep rather than stay. Just to cap it off, they tried to overcharge their original quote. Can't recommend it.

This has to be one of the biggest let downs when it comes to food and quality all round. We had three courses which were so salty you could barely taste the main ingredient in each dish. The wine list was a shambles with three of our selection being unavailable. The dinig room was over lit and over heated making it a somewhat unpleasant atmosphere to start with.
The food was so bad we unfortunately felt the need to complain however this was obviously a huge mistake. The manager/owner was so rude he began to accuse us and at one stage started to yell at us that we shouldn't have eaten most of the meal if it was "that bad". Not what you expect from a five star restaurant and I would certainly not dine here again, even if the food did improved.
This has to be hospitality at it's very worst!

What an utter disappointment. Unfortunately the food did not match the lovely view. Out of our party not one of us enjoyed our meal, the entrees were salty and unpalatable and the mains tasteless and non descript. The general floor service was average but the manager appeared to have other things on his mind and was less than welcoming. Altogether an experience I will not be repeating in the near future, what a shame!

The ambience was as black as the new ceilings at Echoes and the food was no better. We witnessed a horrific argument between two poor customers and the apparent owner. The food was barely edible, I have had better in most of the local cafes on the main street. It was not what I expected from what was meant to be a 5 star restaurant. Certainly not value for money in any sense of the word.
I would not chose to eat here again, what a shame as it was a lovely view!
