We went for lunch with friend from oversea. Amazing view and great food, especially the barramundi..we highly recommend. Staff service was excellent and we had a lovely day.

We had our anniversary dinner at Echoes and could not fault the food or service. The menu was well balanced and garnished. The mains were lovely, simple and fresh. The desserts were clearly their strength and an overall wonderful dining experience.

At $110 per head this was supposed to be a well deserved treat but we were sadly unimpressed. I thought when our pork belly arrived with soft skin on top and white unrendered fat, it should have been a sign to quit whilst we were ahead. We were told that the kitchen staff is from Thailand sorry and that's how they cook it.
The main meal arrived and my 'twice' cooked duck was still very firmly attached to the bone. The two dried up and chewy legs lacked any sauce and were barely edible. My friend received a raw piece of lamb which had hardly seen the oven and was still chilled inside. The peas and beans had not been strung and mouthfuls of string had to be delicately placed on the side plate. The lamb was sent back and the barramundi ordered instead as that should have been quicker to replace the meal.
However, it took so long that my meal was well cold by the time it arrived. Needless to say we didn't dare attempt dessert. I have never been driven to write a review so poor. I made my complaint to the head waiter and he deducted the cost of the bottle of wine and gave us a couple of complimentary ports. However, we still had to very begrudgingly hand over $180 for the experience! For a Monday night with hardly anyone in the restaurant, this was an unforgivable experience.

Certianly not value for money, entree of pork belly undercooked, skin not crisp, waitress explained that it was because the chef was Thai? Main course of Lamb Cutlets, raw, could not cut through them, had to send them back. Companions main of 2x roasted duck, undercooked would not come off bone, charged $160 for these 2 courses, gave us a free bottle of wine for the experience!
Staff left us with half eaten plates of food on table while they changed the tablecloth on the table next to ours, complained to management who appeared non plussed, would not eat here again! serious problems, certainly not fine dining, had a much better meal somewhere else in Katoomba the night before.

Restaurant is amazingly beautiful inside and outside. I love the style/ decorations.
Food was average. But very expensive. I ordered the choc fondant for dessert and what I got was pretty much a souffle. Was unhappy at the end when we asked for the bill and got forgotten and after getting no attention for 10 minutes, had to get up and go to the counter to pay. Has potential to be better.

We went for a birthday lunch with the company of 5. Views were amazing. Service was good, although we had a feeling that staff required constant assistance from us. We thought food was great but for a dish of slow-cooked beef cheeks, the only dish that didn't really taste any good. The meat was left virtually untouched on the plate. We are very disappointed with this beautifully decorated and expensive restaurant.

Nice interior, beautiful views from the balcony, extensive wine list and reasonably good food. I would recommend booking in advance if you would like a table on the balcony.

Delicious, well laid out top-end restaurant. $75 for 2 courses, $95 for 3. Echoes has an extensive wine list, nice, modern interior and the best view I've ever seen from a restaurant. Good food at a decent price for this quality.

We visited this restaurant in a large family group for my grandmother's birthday. The views are to die for, as was the food. The desserts being a particular highlight for me. Everyone on the table was impressed with their meal. Contrary to other reviews on this page, we were all exceptionally impressed by the service from the staff, one young waiter in particular. The food is expensive, but of a high quality, so if you were looking for a special lunch, I would recommend visiting.
