Went here awhile back for lunch. It is very dark and a bit dreary inside, with non-smiling waiters. The furnishings combined with very mediocre, plain food, making us wonder why it's so popular. Maybe it's dinner is better with live music. Seems to be run by a sombre religious group. We love vegetarian and wholefoods, but this took it to another level. There was no joy in this eating experience. Won't be back.

Very earthy, wholesome and generally good-feeling food with a quaint, warm character. The blueberry smoothies are the best ever!

Without doubt the worst breakfast I have ever been served in a cafe. I got the beans on toast for $8.50, expecting that if they'd charge that much for beans on toast I could plant them and make a bean stalk after I was finished. Not so. When our meals came, I was disappointed to see sloppy beans covering 2/3 of the plate, and a clearly Coles bought hamburger roll cut in half on the side. The beans themselves were so watered down by tinned tomatoes, they tasted like sugary water. Absolutely disgusting, and probably about four (unpalatable) mountfuls there. My partner's meal was just as terrible, Cheap dodgy salty sausages, bland scrambled eggs. Cannot reccommend avoiding this place enough.

This is my favourite place in the mountains to dine. The food tastes divine and the people who cook and serve it are warm and friendly. The value is excellent. A wonderful vibe and it feels like you have stepped into a magical dimension.

We find the Common Ground a delightful place to visit. It has a rare ambience, enhanced by the natural and organic decor and we love the music. The staff work very long hours and the food is good value as well as being wholesome and delicious. We don't expect the staff to hover at our table to see if we need anything and we've always managed to get their attention if needed. We are all regular visitors to this great little eatery.

Good, wholesome food. Friendly staff. Charming, quirky decor. Inside, the place is a cross between a tree house and an enchanted forest. The food is hearty and generous. The oatmeal pancakes and homemade granola are great, as is the coffee. You won't find a till or a calculator. They have one of old analogue tills with pop-up numbers. It's cash only. It was my kids' birthday and they gave us a large slice carrot cake and a rendition of "Happy Birthday" by the staff. The cake was much better than the singing. Try the place. You'll be delighted and the kids will love it.

Wonderful ambience, friendly inviting and welcoming. Its great to visit anytime but in the middle of winter, on a cold blustery blue mountain day to step in and sit in front of the fire and sip hot coffee and nibble on their devine carrot cake. Its a really cosy experience!
