Beautiful cafe and store by the makers of hand made mueslis and cookies. Delicious breakfast and lunch menu in a heritage listed building.

Been here four or five times in the last couple of years and each time was very pleasant. Had lunch today on a cold wet day. We were warmly greeted and shown to the table by the heater which was nice. I had the fish pie. Fish pieces in a creamy white sauce covered with potato mash, with a small side salad, nothing earth shattering, but nice comfort food on a cold day.
My wife had the smoked salmon with potato cakes, which she usually has . No complaints from her. I also had the carrot cake with ice cream. Not a traditional style carrot cake, but be honest... it's always about the icing, which was rich and indulgent. Coffees were also above average. Worth another visit.

Just on our way home to Sydney after stopping for lunch at this cafe. It was recommended to us by our sister-in-law and wow, what a find! Our lunch was exceptional (lentil salad & pumpkin fritters) and the service so warm and friendly - thank you! Best lunch we've had in a long time. We will definitely be back & be recommending to friends and family!

My new policy when reading Eatability is to ignore any glowing reviews and to only pay attention to reviewers who make more than one contribution. So many one off reviews are probably written by owners staff or friends. The last few reviews for this place convinced me to go there on Sunday. What a mistake! $5 for bacon as an extra! Who are they kidding. The sour looking cook nearly put us off our food and a previous reviewer is correct, beware of the waitress. If you get the short ,stocky young one watch out! To be fair, there was one nice older woman serving who was very friendly. Not worth the schlep all the way to Medlow Bath.

Visited twice over recent months, enjoying a very good warm lentil salad the first time and a divine freshly made goat's cheese sandwich the second. Service was charming and helpful on both occasions.

I visited Whisk and Pin cafe over the weekend. I had eaten there before, maybe a year and a half ago. I was previously a little disappointed with the service, but what an improvement this cafe has seen! We were greeted cheerily as we walked in, and promptly seated. Service was friendly and professional.
The store is beautifully set up. Coffee and food is fantastic. Between our table we had the fish pie, the steak sandwich and the rueban sandwich. Everything was delicious. The serving sizes were generous, leaving us with little room for dessert. Oh well, another excuse to return!

The wholesale side to this business - bakery in North Katoomba: unethical, unhelpful staff, a rude older woman does not answer any of the questions I had in a phone call I made last week, unsavoury location, over priced products and over all, very dissatisfied with the quality of this business. Will not recommend these products to anyone and will warn other buyers in the community.
Unhappy customer,
Mrs Leura

Whisk and Pin is such a cute and wonderful place! The food is Fantastic and really reasonable priced, especially all their cakes that they make! The homewares and gourmet produce are great. Every time I come there is always something new to look at (and buy). I would strongly recommend everyone to come here, and as the staff are all so friendly and really look after you. I will be back!

Thanks for the great lunch on Saturday. I loved the blue eye cod with the fennel and orange salad. Thanks also to that lovely young English waitress who looked after us so well. See you next time I'm in the mountains! ;)

Expensive food, out of the way location, poorly laid out dining and shopping areas, and the most surly waitress we've ever come across. I'd suggest avoiding this cafe. It's cute. The food is okay. It's also expensive and as other's have mentioned, the service is 'lacking'.
