We decided to try based on the published review. Called to book at 4.30pm only to get an answering service. No response was received. From the outside looked VERY plain, but once we entered was amazed at the layout of the place. Menu good value and fast. Enjoyed immensely and will visit again.

The Vietnam Village is a super find, tucked up in Thebarton off Port Road. You wouldn't go there for the decor, but you'll go back time and time again for the food! The menu's split into two halves, first Vietnamese and then Chinese. I can't vouch for the Chinese half though, having never wanted to stray too far from the fantastic rice hotpots and vietnamese salads.

The service is incredibly good as well, and the wine list isn't at all shabby either. Points deducted for the offer of instant coffee, but you can't have everything can you (and at least they warned us off!).
