Went for lunch Sunday 20/5/12. Their web site states all day dining so did not rush. Its false advertising! At 2.30pm you cannot order in the dining room, you must walk to the Saloon Bar other end of Hotel and then you must choose from a much smaller restricted menu. Staff are dogmatic and unhelpful. Had a look at the food coming out, seriously, go elsewhere, it will be more enjoyable.

Can get really busy on Friday/Saturday nights and sometimes you will struggle to get a table if big groups have booked. Food is okay to nice, depending on what you order, and the prices are just high enough that if you don't enjoy your meal you'll feel annoyed at how much you paid for it.
Ambience isn't great, and there is no table service, so don't go there expecting to have a casual romantic dinner! Still, a good standby when you can't think of anywhere else to go at the last minute.

Recently (29/12/2008) we went for a meal 4x adult 1xchild. The hotel was very busy and the service was a bit slow to get seated and order food. Once ordered the child's meal came out a good five minutes before the next two adult meals. We then waited a further 7 or 8 minutes for the next adult meals so the idea of having a meal out together was destroyed.
The salad and particularly the hot veg bar was almost empty but the staff assured us that it would be topped up. This did not eventuate until after we had finished the meals. The adult main meals were tasty enough but the childs meal, which was a pasta with sauce was bland and very watery. This meal went back untouched, by a child who is normally not a fussy eater and loves that type of meal.
The desserts were also bland and they try to compensate by the size of the portions. The staff seemed too rushed to have time to ask if everything was in order or to our satisfaction. If they had have done this, it may have changed the outcome of the evening and ultimately our view of the meal/hotel. All in all the evening could have been a lot better and we feel that we would not be rushing back to have another one.
