Arrogant staff, terribly cramped space, indifferent food, overpriced, however, great view pity you can't eat it.

We arrived and enjoyed the warm funky atmosphere upon entering, only to be ushered back to the door within seconds. Once established we didn't have a booking for lunch and wanted to get some coffee, we were told tables were being kept available for potential lunch customers, although it was nearly 2.30 pm and the restaurant was only 1/4 full. Because it was a cold and windy day we left without coffee, not happy with the service in the slightest.

This kind of greedy money-grubbing behaviour could not be regarded as 'hospitality'. I was going to check it out for a potential lunch or dinner party but won't ever go back. A nice atmosphere doesn't make up for this kind inhospitality.

Visited here on the recent queen's Birthday public holiday and the place was well packed out with diners. A funky retro restaurant setting overlooking the beach combined with an al fresco café attached. Quite interesting and unusual. The owner maitre d' was very attentive to all diners’ needs it seemed, certainly to ours in any event. We were most impressed with the interest he showed in us as his guests.

Fairly extensive worldly wine list comparable with some of the best around comprising some exceptionally good old vintages also. Could not fault the food served up to us, it was divine. Coupled with the wine, a most enjoyable experience and thoroughly recommended.
