Arriving at 8.45 pm, we were told to order as quickly as possible as the kitchen closed at 9.00 pm. My wife chose the Chefs eye fillet and I chose the King George Whiting (no entrees). 1 hour later and an empty bottle of wine, our meals arrived. As the waitress placed my wifes meal in front of her she apologised and said the chef did not have any eye fillets left and this was all he had.

It turned out to be what looked like an overcooked piece of skirt steak that sat in the middle of her plate. She then offered some salt and pepper squid which we did not want or we would have ordered. The steak was nothing less than awful. They said they wouldn't charge for it which was something I guess. Having said all that the King George Whiting was delicious. But the question remains, why wait 1 hour to tell us they didn't have the ordered meal? Not impressed.

We came to visit from Sydney a while ago to try out the best Adelaide had to offer. It's only now I am writing this review. There probably could not be a better location to have a Restaurant in Adelaide. Absolutely perfect, up high, looking out to the Beach. The Restaurant itself was nice, but not fitting of what they charge for meals.

We had ordered several dishes which we (4 people) tried, including the seafood chowder, tasting plate, seafood platter, lobster with garlic butter and a few desserts. The food was very good, I could not complain about the quality. However, I have had better seafood and considering the meal for 4 with a bottle of wine was over $400, it wasn't good value for money.

I would probably only visit again on a special occasion, and if someone else was paying! Otherwise, there is better and cheaper seafood elsewhere.

We enjoyed lunch here on a cold day, looking out across the water! Sure, we just had fish and chips off the cheaper lunch menu, but it was fine! The service was attentive and handled our dietary request efficiently.

We have been regulars here for 10 years and we used to rate it a 10 out of 10 all round however, of late the food standard has slipped a little. Disappointingly they have dropped a number of key dishes from the menu also such as Scampi Tails and Morton Bay Bug Tails. The wine list has also deteriorated markedly - where once they had an extensive aged cellar, now they only have pretty much the basics with nothing of any note. We do sincerely hope they can kick it up a notch again as when "firing on all cylinders" the seafood has been without fault in the past.
