Great rustic night out in downtown Willunga. It's really a sleepy little vine/beach town so the tin shed environment is really quaint. Kids with summer jobs serving you and not much in the way of a 'kitchen' or equipment but they get things done in a really basic way. Pizzas are nice and a bit different, you pay a bit more but it feels like you're supplementing uni students' holidays so kind of ok. Desserts pretty yum too. It's a unique experience for a once a year or a holiday night out.

A very unusal restaurant to say the least. They are only open on Friday nights, meaning they are incredibly busy, but worth the wait.

The place is a rustic shack made of tin, and doesn't look a restaurant at all. I wonder if it complies with health standards? It also seems that if you are still at high school or just finished it, you can have a job here, as no one looked over 20.

We called to check if they offered take-away, and were told 'yes'. We would save $5 using this method and the pizza would be ready in an hr. However, 10 minutes after making the phone call and arriving at Russell's, we were told our pizza could be ready in 10 minutes and it was.

The pizzas are made on proper hand-made bases and cooked a woodfired oven. The chilli chicken pizza we ordered had no cheese, so the toppings dropped off a bit when eating, and was not spicy at all. They are quite pricey, but very good.
Not very much room to wait around for your pizza either. The surrounds/garden is also very dark with slippery paving. Could do with some lighting.

May go back, as there's not much else in Willunga at night.
