Food was outstanding. Service was very poor and when management was approached they informed us that the procedure of having to inquire about our hot drink order after we had finished dessert was typical, when order was placed at the same time.

Had a business lunch here and was extremely impressed. The veal saltimbocco was just suberb - the best I have ever tasted. My colleague said his steak was also very good. The sides of potatoes and green vegetable were both very tasty.

The views over the Torrens to the city are also very beautiful. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It was one of the best meals I have experienced for a long time.

Do not be deceived by the name. Although the menu contains snackable wood fired pizzas (which also looked magnificent) this is much, much more than just a Cafe. This is an absolute 6 star establishment. My wife and I have eaten in many, many different places but the culinary experience we participated in at the River Torrens Cafe will be remembered for far more than our wedding anniversary.

Just superb in every way. One of the top few, or if not the outstanding dining experience of our lives to date, seriously. Lovely, interesting entree selections, melt in your mouth meat/steak dishes prepared to perfection, exceptionally good mouth watering side dishes, completed magnificently by top quality desserts, and all combined with a lovely view of the city overlooking the river Torrens. Top class stuff beating anything anywhere else to be found worldwide.
