Brilliant atmosphere and service. The food was so flavoursome and fresh, every single dish was memorable (except the cheese at the end, which was ok but not outstanding).
Highly recommend for groups so you can taste more of the dishes! Would be good for intimate dinner or even a wine and a few tasty morsels after work. Highly recommended!

High quality food, but as is the case with degustation it's never going to be filling. Best for foodies and special occasions only, but even then still highly overpriced.

We had always wanted to try The Pot, and we had the opportunity for a light lunch on Thursday 19/08/2009. We had heard good things and read good reviews, and being in the area at 2 pm and being the foodies we are thought 'why not?'. So we popped in. It was very quiet, but we were shown to a cosy table by the window (nice for watching the world go by).

The waiter was not very welcoming and abruptly told us that 'thats not ready' when we looked towards the specials board, apparently there are only specials for dinner, not lunch. Anyway, kudos go to the kitchen as our snails and wagyu steak tartare were delicious, and the 'mains' were very nice indeed (I normally don't like fennel at all, but this poached fennel was to die for!).

We were incredibly disappointed that the waiter decided to pocket $10 of our change (The bill came to $68, we gave $80 and was given $2 change. Not quite right!). We were in a hurry and the waiter stayed at the other end of the restaurant so we didn't get a chance to question him. I guess he decided he deserved a tip!

This left a bad taste in our mouth, which is a shame because the food is excellent.
I certainly advise anyone who is going to watch out for change-stealing waiters, but the food is worth the extra vigilance.

A degustation restaurant, although that is about to change. Wow food. Impeccable service. The best wine list in town. Intimate cosy ambience. Worth every penny, but in it's present form is a special occasion place, it is expensive.

I visited this place 5 years ago and was excited to be returning, sadly this occaision did not quite match the last. The food was good, but not spectactular as I remembered it and the $$$ were through the roof. Worth a try but overpriced.
