Very comfortable place for a meal especially so for a foreigner such as myself. I was sick and I was longing for my mom's porridge, that is the comfort food during sick time and guess what, I got my craving fulfilled with that fantastic bowl of special gingery porridge that was just perfect for my flu and cold! Wonderful and thank you for making me feel good again.

Great place for a quick meal. Service is very fast and the food is reasonably priced and tasty. Great for lunch if you are short on time.

Stayed at the dumpy grand chancellor hotel on the corner, up the alley from this place.
Got take away. Salt and pepper prawns and honey cashew chicken were both good but everything was battered and fried and there was no vegies with anything, just the protein, so depending what you want you may or may not be satisfied.
Would consider going back if work made me stay at the hotel. Not a great looking interior, but there was quite a few people eating in, including a large group of Asians - which is usually a good sign! The Thai girl serving was extremely polite and personable.

Excellent service, amazing food, we found this restaurant tucked down a small Alley in the city one night by mistake and have always gone back! very cheap compared to other dine in chinese restaurants and right next to the pancake kitchen! if you love Chinese food you gotta try this place, you won't regret it!

I don't know if this restaurant has had the same owners forever but when we visited last week for dinner, the food was terrible and nothing Penang-like at all. Also, the waiter could barely understand the menu. I would not recommend this restaurant.
