Went to this restaurant before a show at the Festival Theatre, as it was recommended to me. Unlike other reviews the staff and service on this occasion were good. Food was nice with desserts being the stand out.

We loved food from North. Just excellent. Only downsides was service, well they were not professional at all.

Having not eaten at the casino in years and years, we decided to try this place out. I wonder if they got staff from the drinks bar to fill in for waiters this night as they all seemed quite amateur. The actual setting of the place is really nice, but at was the food and service that didn't measure up.

We ordered dips and breads for starters, whilst coming on a massive plate, they were nice, but sadly they brought our entrees at the same time. Too much food overflowing the table. Mains were average. He loved his lamb, but my steak was full of fat and fairly cold.

The very young waiter didn't offer the dessert menu. He just said "Do you want the bill or something?". Go for a lunch, not a dinner. (By the way, the wine list was actually really good and fairly priced.)

Friday night had a two piece band playing in front of the bar who were quite good, enjoyable. Food was good, certainly not bad, but not sensational either. The most disappointing feature of this restaurant was the poor service we received once our initial good service waitress clocked off for the night (9 pm). Fortunately, she took our food order before she left or we would probably still be there. We had to ask for wine top ups, water and they forgot to take our coffee order (we declined at that point).
