We have enjoyed a great lunch, but dinner last night was a shocker. Over priced wine, $18 corkage is ridiculous and our meals took forever to come out after our entree's....worst still my 'special' goat was over cooked and mainly bones with little meat, the porchetta al forno was dried out and not very nice at all..vegies are over priced and disappointing, most upsetting when you see the prices!

Amazing food, great service, love the renovations (especially the swishnew bathrooms). Great job on the new function room, has such warmth, yet still private and classy. Looking forward to my next function there.

Entrees were around $14-$17, Mains around $25-$35
I ordered the tiger prawns / quail - both were fabulous, my husband the gnocchi/calamari - the calamari was ordinary. Could not fault the service. The restaurant presents nicely, and works for couples or larger groups. There is an area at the back of the restaurant with a table for around 12 if you were looking for a venue for a small semi private function.
Overall no complaints, would recommend to anyone.

Basically, we were disappointed. The restaurant charges top end prices but unfortunately the food doesn't deliver to that standard. The night we went the waiter and table service were very good. The food was nice but not outstanding, the corkage charge of $15 per bottle was quite outrageous particularly when we weren't even given fresh glasses for our different wines. The entree tasting plates were good. My husband had the goat leg and said that while the meat was lovely the skin had a bitter taste. Dessert was the donuts which were nice but nothing outstanding. Basically top prices but the food wasn't to the same standard. Wouldn't go back.

Had been to Martini once before a couple of years ago and remember it as quite good. On this occasion the night started out as very good although it didn't finish off as quite so good with a few points lost by the end of the evening, but I’ll get to that.
This is indeed an upmarket venue with prices to suit and invariably it seems an array of interesting socialites are in attendance as I seem to recall also from our first visit here. If you want to view the latest way out trendy fashions both female and male up close just come here. I felt decidedly boringly dressed which I can’t say I’ve ever felt before.
Although we were presented with a set menu for New Years Eve a choice of 3 or 4 courses and a choice of 3 or 4 on each course served us all well. I think I can safely say that all on our table of 6 enjoyed the food fairly well, however, one would expect slightly better from such an establishment presenting itself as high end, which is billed as “authentic Italian cuisine”.
Personally my complaints were on the veal gnocchi entrée which had rather soft and soggy pasta pieces and one piece of gristly meat (ok, I’m being really picky on the meat! But, after all it is a high market establishment) and also on the lamb cutlets which were quite rare and not to my well done preference but no choice was offered on how the meat was to be cooked (no choice normally means medium on lamb which I could have tolerated).
The venue itself is conservatively but tastefully appointed although a bit of a drawback being positioned in a small shopping mall and having to walk 25m to toilets outside off the rear the car park. The service here is obviously something the owners highly regard as it is apparent that staff has a service ethic utmost in their minds, assistance with food and drink choices, drinks replenished at the right time etc and all with great courtesy and a smile.
However, by 10.30 pm on this night waiting staff were thinning out dramatically and by 11.00 pm most had in fact left the premises including the drinks waiter appointed to our table which meant they failed to take our promised after dinner dessert drinks order until it was all too late. This was a bit of a let down to the promising start to the night.
I guess we’ll forgive them this transgression though as after all it was New Years Eve. Bottom line is that Martini attempts to pull off a high end upmarket experience and charges accordingly but that just misses getting over the bar.

The service is very good and the waiters talkative and extremely polite. The food is excellent and is value for money.
