When I desire a great meal, my choice is Maharajah's Indian Restaurant. It has a graceful Indian décor and excellent service. It provides fair quantity for every dollar spent. Madras fish curry, butter Chicken and Garlic Naan is my favourite, here.

I went to Maharajah's with a lot of expectations after reading the reviews online. I was totally devastated as it did not meet my expectations at all. To start with, the ambience and the setting was not as great as all these reviewers rave..just some indian carpet - like things hanging from the top with dim lighting.

Being a Thursday night, the hotel was filled with people and the service was not good, with only two people to serve and take down orders. The food took like hours to make to our table and we had only ordered three mains (chicken korma, prawns malabari and lamb rogan josh) with some indian bread.

The curries did not taste good at all except for the chicken korma. And to make matters worse, we had taken our friends along to treat them to good indian food. A totally depressing experience and I'm not going back, never ever. Sorry guys, but I have to be honest.

Aaaahhh!just brilliant food.Butter Chicken, Seekh Kabab and Garlic Naan my favorite. Never thought I did find a decent Indian Restaurant in Adelaide, have been looking for a long time and this is it! The food is spectacular, the personalized service just lovely. I cannot speak more highly about this restaurant. Also if this is the sort of wonderful service and food I got I am sure to place takeaway order also.

For me Chinese food is uppermost. We have visited many Indian Restaurants in Adelaide to check variety. We are now addicted to Maharajahs. On our first visit itself,we were impressed with the girl waiter and quick service and attendance,clearing of table in-between,as desired. One thing my wife and friends pride is regular quality of food particularly Naan and butter Chicken. The food is not only delicious, soft on stomach (no after effects) and in good quantity for items ordered. The food also goes well with the wine. We usually come in groups of four or five and not much-about 65 to 80.

For me and my wife this is the best Indian restaurant in Adelaide! Have been back three times over the last three months and ordered the $25 banquet and its always too much food. The serving staff are always polite and attentive without being overbearing and the food is to die for. Have been to a few Indian restaurants down rundle street and the parade (charminar) and I rate Maharajahs above them all! Prices are excellent as well!

Very enjoyable without being something to rant about, but we certainly plan to visit here again. Not an expansive menu but what was there was scrumptious and more than ample in serving size. Quite a pleasant cottage setting which appeared to be recently painted and decorated and was nice and clean. The one waiter who served us all night was softly spoken, extremely polite and well mannered and did a fine job of catering for our needs. As to the value for money, it was exceptional with 3 courses for two people coming in at under $40. Brilliant.
