Cannot believe this place has such a high rating, must be the location with clientel that are used to not expecting too much, have been twice now walked out the first time due to lack of service and came back for a second try, sunday lunch... busy semi... service bad, tables don't get cleared there is a massive line up just for food and drinks and my poor 7 year old missed out on his ice cream after waiting 15 mins for a scoop and topping, BTW there was plenty staff on and not 1 smile... 1/10.

Louisiana Tavern has spent all it's money on trimmings and has none left to employ chefs. Food was very poor quality. The salad was almost off. Their idea of southern food is to add some liquid smoke and cajun sprinkle. I had the cajun Barramundi and it was awful. Lucky I had a 25% off voucher but it was still not worth it. Will not return even with a voucher. My rating for food 4 out of 10.

Although many might be turned off at the fact this is in Elizabeth, it really is a hidden gem. If you love American food, burgers, wings, southern fried chicken, creole, etc - this is the best place in Adelaide.
The food is always good quality and well put together, not just a bunch of deep fried cheap rubbish. The drinks are cheap enough and soft drinks come in a big glass. The place is beautifully decorated and have really nice clean bathrooms! (Weird, but I always make a note if they do). The place is probably targeted to people in their 20s-30s, so not a good idea to bring young kids there for dinner on a Saturday night or anything, as the bar can get busy and crowded.
Still, a place for both families and drinkers alike. Prices are decent and service is good depending on who is working. The biggest disappointment? They don't seem to have a dessert menu.
