If you want a great spot for a leisurely and liquid lunch, this is it. Fantastic view across the vineyards. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely wines. But come for the food. Each item on the menu is helpfully matched with a wine. We followed their recommendations and are glad we did. The pinot grigio and chorizo entree was a superb choice. Both the lamb and the roast sirloin were magnificent paired with the shiraz. Be sure to leave room for the beautiful cheese plate. Very popular on the weekends so be sure you book before driving out.

How this place isn't rated by vogue dining as one of Adelaide's top 3 I don't know. I've been somewhat disappointed with the ones they rate highly especially from a value for money perspective - Auge, Manse and even Appelation (all great service however) except Assagio is dependable but could do with changing the menu every quarterly/seasonally to get the local punters back and Jolley's still good.

But then I'm eating at Bridewater mill (also still good but slipping just ever so slightly) when the guys next to me rave about the Lane. The best service I've had here/interstate and potentially overseas and the food etc etc was just as good. Adelaide is crying out for more restaurants like this. Bloody well done and every one else I've spoken to that's been there rates it very highly.
