Don't go here! We finished our meal but in hindsight shouldn't have. We are pretty sure the KI lobster was not right. It tasted strange (no elaboration required). The rest of the meal was extremely average, the octopus salad was a joke and didn't seem fresh either. The Maki was OK but nothing special and the pork belly had no quality of flavours. Certainly not worth the $150 we paid for the meal. I have never given a restaurant review in my life - this is the first - and I am only doing it to warn people not to waste their money here. The service was good and the atmosphere was fine, but the food was very ordinary and the lobster we are pretty sure was off.

My husband and I have dined at Kenji twice now and we just cannot find fault. You really know you are in for a pleasurable experience as soon as you cross the threshold of this restaurant. The first time we came across Kenji we could not get a table, booking this restaurant is essential. It is a little pricey for Adelaide but when the food is this good who cares. The raspberry souffle is to die for. Definitely one of Adelaide's best!

Excellent food with a wide variety of contemporary Japanese cuisine. Each dish had great fresh ingredients and were prepared with skill. The service was lovely without being overly fussy. Were fine with us sharing dishes, and made sure we knew that our mains (goat) would take a little longer than usual. A little loud inside on a busy night, but not a major problem. The prices were a little higher than those printed here, but we had a great meal for two, with wine for around $100.
