We are still desperately seeking a 'quality' breakfast in Adelaide. White bread, soggy bacon and vinegar poached eggs appear to be the norm. Please, someone take the reins and show the world that Adelaide does have taste buds and good sense! Esca has a way to go with improving the decor and ambience for breakfast, no we don't want to feel as though we're in a cafeteria, and no we don't want our coffees thrown on the table by the bad tempered barista!

The food choices do show some forethougtht and are well prepared. Attend to the rest and people will continue to come and be well pleased.

Thank god the food was very nice, because the rest of the experience wasn't. It's not a great sign when four or five (at least) staff simply ignored us upon arrival as we waited for quite a while without even being acknowledged. The staff also had a way of making our group like a hassle, were a little unhelpful (20 minutes to get a bottle of wine) and just really would not see value in returning.

Went to Esca for breakfast. Ordered eggs on 'toast'. I don't constitute two pieces of small, very thin, crunchy, almost inedible pieces of turkish bread as 'toast'. I could not cut it let alone put my egg on it. And no butter. Also I do not appreciate my table being cleared piece meal whilst I am still eating. Slightly overpriced for quality of the food. I won't be eating here again.
