We were looking for a cool quiet place where we could eat at our leisure and catch up with each other on the latest family events. The cafe was perfect. The service very prompt and unobtrusive. The choice of food kept us all happy, just found it difficult to decide from so many interesting options. Presentation was interesting and the gelati was one of the best. Staff were very friendly.

I've been to Vagabondo's many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and each time I have a great experience. The food is always delicious and the service is exactly like the cafe itself, warm and friendly. One time I was very impressed by a waitress who gave better service than you get at some 5 star restaurants!

Have been going here for many years now and have always been treated with utmost respect. The staff are friendly and the food is always of exceptional quality and value for money. I believe a good restaurant is dictated by its consistency and Caffe Vagabondo hands down delivers the most consistently imaginative and delicious meals on O'Connell Street.

I boast in recommending Vagabondos to friends and family and especially to interstate and overseas travellers (the seafood pasta dishes are constantly a hit).

My brother, sister and our partners went for a casual Sunday lunch at this restaurant and were treated to a truly awful experience. They gave my sister a small pizza instead of medium, charged us for the wrong beer (a more expensive one, of course) and when we questioned the bill, were rudely spoken to, told we "..should have stayed home and had a sandwich' and were charged the full price anyway.

In addition to all of this, my sister's baby was poked and prodded by a small child (who was not quite right) who had wandered over from the table of people where the owner was sitting. No one from the table tried to stop her from harrassing my niece (even when my sister became a little distressed). I would have thought that it would have been wrong for an owner to sit back and allow customers to be inappropriately accosted by any other guest, let alone someone from their own table!

Despite all being professionally employed, we were dressed in casual (being a Sunday) and were treated like vagrants. Maybe the name of Vagabond(o) is apt, as it describes the level of service you will worst service ever!
