Rang and asked about the menu and getting a favourable answer made a booking for special meal out we were shouting our rellies to. The manager barked at me over the phone about what time we 'had to be out' which he could have put nicely but I agreed happily knowing we were unable to stay long. Unfortunately, delayed (but still with plenty of time) we arrived to find the senior staff had greatly embarrassed us by again barking at our relatives that they had to be out by 12 and that no booking was made!

The info about the menu was completely wrong and after establishing we had indeed made a booking (which they admitted) we were shunted into a horrid back room away from any ambience that the cafe had. It is only fair to advise a customer that they can only be fitted in the back room and let us back out if we wished! They scrimped on the portions and tried to bustle us out even before the agreed time!

Also beware that they demand your credit card be given over to them for the duration of your stay depite that banks advise this is never to be done. Never again! Avoid this cafe because so many others offer friendly service with integrity.

Good Italian food. Have eaten there several times. Can get a bit noisy and hard to chat. Service is good with meals coming out in good time. Have not had a bad meal there yet. Good coffee.
