Awful. I had dinner there last night and they have lost a customer. The food was ok, though about what I could make myself, but the service was So Bad. First I go to the bar to get a drink and I'm greeted by a snooty staff who gives me a look like "and what do you want....you are Really inconveniencing me". No smile, no "Hi" "Hello" all I got was a "yes"? I ordered my glass of wine and receive a very sharp "thats it"? Ok, so drinks are done...obviously she's having a bad day.

Time to order the food, up to the food counter. The lad taking my order cancels my EFT transaction and then walks off leaving me standing there! Sorry, what's going on? Finally he returns and we try again. Ok, anyone can make a mistake, he's having a bad day. The meals came out rather quickly which was great and the food was ok, but we sat there for at least 20 minutes after eating waiting for the table to be cleared, eventually I had to get up and ask.

A lad came and cleared the table, stacking and scraping the dishes at the table, in front of us! He knocks something over and complains "it's one of those days". All the staff in this place seem to be having a bad day when they have to deal with customers, though you can see them joking and mucking around behind the bar etc.

All I can say is "I will not have another bad "going out to dinner" experience by eating there again". From a local, train your staff, people do not pay to eat out to be treated with such disdain by the younger generation. As a good dining experience you fail.

I love this cafe! The people there are so friendly to me and every time I go there I get a different dish and it always comes out as tasty as ever. The wedges there are particularly fantastic! You’re right about the coffees. There’s a young girl and a young boy that make a particularly good coffee and they can even make pretty pictures which sure shows that they know what they are doing! You people must have hit them on a bad day because as you all have mentioned the place is always packed out which is a sign that people are constantly coming back. I heart Cafe Nova gawler!

I really don't know how this cafe gets as packed as it does. The food is consistently ordinary, you can't hear yourself talk, the decor is poor and the food is over-priced.

Very disappointed, for the price of food it was very ordinary. The Pasta came out cold, sent back to the kitchen and came back 15 minutes later as the same dish, not even fresh. The girls on service were not very hospitable, the place was packed though so I believe they were short staffed but there seemed to be a bit of animosity. This is very unprofessional. They make a killer coffee though, one of the best I have had.

As a local, I'm ashamed at times. My last visit there was woeful. I ordered a caesar salad, with dressing on the side. (I like caesar salad, and try different cafe's versions, as a sample of how fresh their food is). I was appalled. This particular meal, I ordered dressing on the side, to get a clear look at what chef was handing out. All the cos had brown edges and was rather wilted. I've had other meals there and they're always the same, regular, mediocre cafe food, getting way too much like others.
