The service of this place is appalling, the food is of average quality and severely overpriced. We made a booking in advance for 20 guests for 3rd December last year. When we arrived we were given menus, and placed our orders and purchased drinks.

After ordering it took over 90 minutes for the first of our meals to be delivered, with no explanation whatsoever. The restaurant was not fully booked, and not busy at all, as it was a Wednesday night. We were further insulted when the last of our orders, arriving more thatwo hours after we sat down - pizzas, were incorrect. We were not given replacements either. Terrible.

The fact that we had made a booking meant that they should have rostered the appropriate amount of staff. Furthermore, waiting two hours for simple dishes such as salad pizzas and then receiving incorrect orders is just irritating, especially without the courtesy of an apology, or even an acknowledgement of the error.

Do not go here, there are plenty of fantastic places in Glenelg, you will be disappointed at Cafe Blu.

Generally tasty food. Pier burger is good, as is the vegetarian pizza (huge pizza). Beef schnitzel I had last time was pretty plain. Good overall though.
