My partner and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and we have no plans to dine at Auge again. Such a shame as the atmosphere and styling of the building were simply beautiful.
The food wasn't memorable. For the most part the meals were bland and lacking presentation. The Agliotti had chewy edges where the pasta had been joined but had not been rolled out to the thickness of the rest of it, as it ought to be. There were bone fragments in the rabbit gnocchi.
The desserts we're plated for too long, the sorbets appeared to have melted to half their original height by the time they reached us. The "tiramisu" (and I use the term loosely) was a peculiar adaptation of what is normally a lovely dessert.
The coffee was outstanding, possible the best coffee I've ever had.
We were not asked at any point if we were enjoying our meals. The service was confusing, several people looking after our table of four. They seemed over staffed and unorganised.
If I had to use one word to describe this venue it would be "complacent".

Flew down from Sydney for a dinner with my partner. Made reservation over the restaurant's website 24 hours in advance for a table on a busy Friday night and received prompt response.
A bit darkish inside but was otherwise good ambience. Slightly noisy given it was Friday and there was not a lot of space between tables. We ordered two two-course meals (one entree, two mains and one dessert). The waiter kindly asked the kitchen to split the entree for us. Entree was great, veal with a tiny hint of south-eastern favour.
Then we had a 20-minutes wait for the mains. Unfortunately, when they came out it was obvious that they were left for a bit (dish was cold to touch). Pasta was past al dente which shouldn't happen in such restaurant. We also noted that the portion we had for main was pretty much the same as the 6-course degustation dish on other tables.
Another 20-minutes wait came the dessert which was ok. I know it is very picky but a little note to the waiter, help the lady to put on the coat on her way out, not just hand it to her please.

Took clients to lunch at Auge as I've heard rave reviews. The food was quite good although not a memorable experience. Overall I would go again.

Excellent food and service. However, if you want the lunch time special be careful to specify that when you order. We assumed that if we ordered according to the criteria for the "special", that it would be the price accordingly. Instead, all components were individually priced. A dubious practice!

My partner and I tried this restaurant on a recent weekend trip to Adelaide. This restaurant certainly was a good find. The restaurant interior is quite funky and (for those from Sydney) would not look out of place in Kings Cross or Darlinghurst. However, unlike Sydney's eastern suburbs, it is chic without the pretence.
The service is seemless - helpful and attentive, without being overbearing. But the best thing about this place is the food. Modern Italian food using fresh ingredients. The sommelier also suggested some great wines by the glass which matched the food well. Overall, this was the perfect place for a special night out in Adelaide.
