Love this place. Great food and wine list, large serves and staff know their stuff. Need to book over weekend or won't get a table. Be aware it can be noisy so don't expect an intimate dinner for two. An Adelaide icon.

There is a reason why this restaurant is not in the Entertainment book, it doesn't have to. The food was nothing short of sensational, perfectly cooked pasta and seafood. Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back!

The best italian feed I have ever had! The pizzas were fresh, large and the tastiest I have ever experienced. We had entree and mains and our fair share of wine! The service was friendly and we were lucky to get a table it was thursday lunch time! will definitely be back for more!

Found this place purely by accident last night and I can see why it was full all evening long. Fresh honest Italian fare, generous portions, friendly service.

We arrived at Amalfi, having booked a table for four. No table was set for us and we had to take a small round table outside on the street. We waited a good half hour to have our order taken, a little longer to have our table set, and the service never really got better. However, the food more than made up for it and I would definitely return.

I'm a Sydney-sider and after a recommendation from a friend, I went to Amalfi for lunch in early November 2009. I had the Napoletana pizza and this was hands-down the best pizza I have had in my life. The tomato sauce was fantastic, and the base was perfect, just thin and crispy enough. When I paid, I mentioned that the pizza was the best ever, and the lady said that it was made by their apprentice. Keep that guy on! I've been to Italy and loved their pizza and until now I thought I'd have to fly half way around the world for excellent pizza, but flying to Adelaide is much quicker. Already booked a table for next week when I back in Adelaide. Can't wait.

This is certainly one of Adelaide's top 5 traditional Italian restaurants, a long time old favourite that always delivers on taste. The steaks are just marvelous, always tender and juicy and the Spaghetti Marinara is to die for amongst other great but simple Italian dishes.
It is a pretty tight squeeze on table set up and only seats a small number, unfortunately, so pointless walking in on a weekend evening without a booking as you'll usually be turned away. Service and value are above average also. You won't be disappointed if you choose to dine here (provided you book ahead if on a weekend). An Adelaide institution for sure.
