This place is great value. Such simple, robust flavours. Great produce used. Bruschetta and pasta were elegant and fast, nothing fancy, quite rustic. But really cheap! Coffee was excellent, their own blend of Rio, with the barista's friend "Tweedvale Milk" from Lobethal, as we learned from our lovely waitress. Liked it a lot, will go back and check out breakfast as I've heard about their roast tomatoes.

Three of us had lunch there yesterday and the food was awful. Ice cold old salad. The chicken was bloody and tasted microwaved. I sent it back to the kitchen and was told it was okay to be bloody it just looked bloody but wasn’t. Will never go back.

Glad we found this place on a rainy day, food is varied and delicious and staff were lovely even though they were very busy. Loved the colours, music, quite an experience. Very cheap for our big meals. we'll be back when next in the hills.

Lunch for two on a cold weekend. Older staff members a bit "cool" and aloof. Attitude and Service standard needs attention if this place is to boom. Food fine, Wine List fine, Coffee not up to an aficianado's standard. Tip: request a table out the back where the action is.

The people running this cafe are so rude! The lady who runs this and serves people is awful. From making you feel you are disturbing her to get a coffee, to asking you to make sure you bring appropriate change next time. There will definitely be no next time!

The staff are young but very eager to please the food is fabulous the outdoors area is great in summer. The art is a nice touch. I have been coming here since I was a child and I now bring my son here. Great family tradition!

A great atmosphere, quite special. Hidden away in Aldgate, al fresco at the rear which will be nice in summer. Excellent but small wine list. Food Italian and very tasty. We'll definitely go back.
